finished 8-5, but lost the 2 big ones..........

IPFW was in complete control of the first half‚ outshooting Miami-Ohio from the field‚ 58.1 percent to 43.8 percent‚ en route to a 52-36 advantage at the break.

The Mastodons led by 10 with under nine minutes to go before the RedHawks strung together a 12-2 run to tie the game at 71 at the 6:15 mark. IPFW would regain the advantage with 1:21 left‚ 87-85‚ but from there Miami-Ohio would end the game with nine unanswered points. A 3-pointer by McKnight with 1:01 remaining proved to be the game-winner.

IPFW lost despite shooting a blistering 53.6 percent from 3-point range (15- of-28). Miami-Ohio outscored the Mastodons in the paint‚ 48-26.

                      that's CBB for you........

                      N Iowa, same situation.......

UNI were the front-runners early‚ as it shot 45.5 percent from the field in the opening stanza en route to a 38-31 lead at halftime.

After shooting just 41.4 percent from the floor in the first half‚ Milwaukee improved to 48.4 percent after the break‚ while UNI slid to 35.5 percent. Milwaukee used a 30-5 run early in the second half to distance itself.

Milwaukee shot 10-of-27 from 3-point range on the night‚ while UNI was only 5- of-24 from beyond the arc.

I guess that's why they play the whole game........looked like 2 separate teams playing in 2 separate games.......first 1/2 leads get blown away in 2nd...........

no excuses here........I've won em like that..........lock and load for another day
