Saturday NCAA Basketball and NBA System Play......
Lost the juice yesterday going 1-1 in hoops. These are my two plays for Saturday's basketball card.......
NCAA
3 STAR: MISSOURI (-19) OVER Texas A&M
The Tigers have struggled at 5-5 so far this season, but I look for a big win for them today against Texas A&M. The Aggies are 7-4, but their 7 wins are all against cupcakes, and 2 of their losses were against Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Oakland-Michigan (Who is that?). They have only played two lined games this year and are 0-2 against the spread losing to Houston and Tennessee. The only team that they have played with the talent level of Missouri would be the Vols, and they were beat by 24 points. This is also a revenge game for Missouri who lost at A&M last season by 2 points. The Aggies are only 8-13 against the spread in straight up revenge losses. Look for a Tiger blowout here!
NBA SYSTEM PLAY
1 STAR: UTAH (-8) OVER Atlanta
Both of these teams played last night, but the advantage here lies with the Jazz. The Hawks are a terrible 2-33 against the spread when they loss straight up when playing without rest, while the Jazz are 35-12 against the spread at home when favored by 10 points or less against an unrested opponent. Atlanta is only averaging 91 points per game in the second of back to back games and the Jazz are an outstanding 15-3 against the spread against unrested opponents that score less than 100 points. Jazz get it done here!
