These are my plays for Friday night............
NBA SYSTEM PLAY
1 STAR: TORONTO (-7.5) OVER LA Clippers
Not a good match up for the Clips who are on a three game road against the spread losing streak against the low scoring Raptors. The Clippers are only 1-8 against the spread in road games when revenging a loss versus an opponent this season and 1-7 against the spread in road games versus poor offensive teams that are scoring 91 or less points per game this season. Toronto has had the better of this match up in the past, covering the spread in 4 out of the last 5 meetings. The Clippers are also not at full strength for this game with Cory Maggette out due to suspension and Q Richardson is probable with a hand injury. This is also the Clippers 3rd game in 4 nights. I look for a double digit win here for Toronto!

1 STAR: Cornell (+15) OVER NEW MEXICO
Cornell is 19-7 against the spread as a road underdog of 12.5 points or more since 1997 and 38-19 against the spread on the road overall since 1997. New Mexico is only 1-5 against the spread as a home favorite of 12.5 or more points since 1997 and they have not fared very well in the few games that they have played on Friday nights going 1-5 against the spread. I think Cornell will get a big game at the Pit out of their second leading scorer, guard Cody Toppert an Albuquerque native, and keep this one within the number.
