      Week 5

Saskatchewan (4-0) @ Hamilton (1-3)-- Roughriders (-7.5) crushed Hamilton 37-0 in last week's game at Taylor Field, Riders' 16th win in last 19 series games; they're 7-2 in last nine visits here (Hamilton, not Guelph), dogs covered four of last six series games, with five of last seven at Hamilton going over total. Riders are 4-0 this year, with all four wins by 11+ points; they're +7 in turnovers, +10 in sacks and run balll for 155.5 ypg. TiCats allowed 30+ points in all three losses; they're got only two takeaways in four games (-3)- Burris has already been sacked 16 times. In the NFL, this would be a trap game.

BC Lions (3-1) @ Toronto (2-2)-- Knee injury to Argo QB Ray has this game off board; even with Ray, Toronto (+7) lost 24-16 in Week 2 at BC Place, as Lions outrushed Argos 160-34, outgained them 417-249 (led 14-3 at half). BC has beaten Toronto six games in a row and 16 of last 17, winning seven of last eight visits here, last two 29-16/18-9. Six of last eight series games stayed under total, eight of last nine played here. Toronto scored 39-35 points in its two wins, 16-28 in its losses; Lions allowed average of 13.3 ppg last three weeks, in wins by 8-14-10 points. CFL home dogs are 1-3 vs spread this year.

Roughriders at Ti-Cats: What bettors need to know
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      Saskatchewan Roughriders at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (+3.5, 55.5)

Quarterback Darian Durant and the Saskatchewan Roughriders put on their most dominant performance of the season in a 37-0 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at home last week. The Roughriders travel to Guelph, Ont., on Saturday looking to keep their perfect start alive in a rematch against Hamilton. Durant, who was named Offensive Player of the Week, threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns, while Saskatchewan’s defense registered five sacks as the Roughriders showed no signs of slowing down.

Hamilton can find some positives from last week, most notably its ability to contain the Roughriders' offense early in the contest. Saskatchewan did not score a point in the first quarter and the Tiger-Cats run defense limited Roughriders running back Kory Sheets to 36 yards in the first half. Quarterback Henry Burris had his worst start of the season, however, and Hamilton’s league-worst running game was held to 16 total rushing yards, something coach Kent Austin will have to address if he wants to avoid another blanking.

      TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE ROUGHRIDERS (4-0): Sheets rushed for 130 yards last week, bringing his season total to a league-leading 572. Wide receiver Rob Bagg continued his comeback from a devastating injury two seasons ago with two touchdown catches and 125 receiving yards last week to earn Canadian Player of the Week honours. Linebacker Renauld Williams, who was released by Hamilton after last season, was named Defensive Player of the Week and is leading Saskatchewan’s defense with five sacks and one interception, which he returned 19 yards for a touchdown.

ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (1-3): Despite his poor showing last week, Burris is second in the league with 1,115 passing yards, while also leading Hamilton with 123 rushing yards. Wide receivers Bakari Grant (254 yards) and Greg Ellingson (237) are Burris’ preferred targets. The Tiger-Cats have allowed a league-worst 126 points as only four defensive players have 10 or more tackles and the secondary has yet to intercept a pass, leading Hamilton to release linebacker Markeith Knowlton and defensive back James Patrick and sign linebacker Brandon Isaac, who was recently released by Toronto.

      TRENDS:

      * Roughriders are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 meetings.
      * The over is 10-3-1 in the last 14 meetings in Hamilton.
      * The Tiger-Cats are 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.
      * Over is 4-1 in the Roughriders' last five games overall.

      EXTRA POINTS:

      1. The Roughriders are first in the CFL Power Rankings, while Hamilton is last.

      2. The Tiger-Cats are 0-2 against West Division opponents.

      3. Austin, who was quarterback for Saskatchewan when the Roughriders won the Grey Cup in 1989 and coach when they won it in 2007, spent five years coaching in the NCAA before returning to the CFL to lead the Tiger-Cats.

Lions at Argos: What bettors need to know
          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
          B.C. Lions at Toronto Argonauts (5.5, 49.5)

The Toronto Argonauts might be without some key pieces on offense when they host the BC Lions on Tuesday. Toronto, which dropped a 24-16 decision at BC in Week 2, lost CFL leading passer Ricky Ray and running back Chad Kackert to knee injuries last week in a road win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Kackert, the leading rusher for the Argonauts, will miss at least a month while Ray is listed as day-to-day for the top team in the East Division.

Following a home-and-home sweep of the Edmonton Eskimos, the Lions have won three straight and have allowed just 40 points in that span after yielding 44 in their Week 1 loss to the Calgary Stampeders. Running back Andrew Harris is driving the offense with 296 yards and four touchdowns on the ground to go with 129 receiving yards and one touchdown reception. Lions quarterback Travis Lulay is enjoying a strong start to the season - with 974 passing yards, seven touchdown passes and only three interceptions.

          TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE LIONS (3-1): Slotback Nick Moore appears to have taken the place of Geroy Simon in BC’s passing schemes. Moore, who had 449 receiving yards in his first two seasons, has caught 17 passes for 241 yards in 2013 - good for second on the team behind wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux. Lulay, who has 173 rushing yards on 19 carries, is on pace to surpass last year’s career high of 477 yards. First-year cornerback Cord Parks has a team-leading two interceptions and shares the club's top honours with 19 tackles. Linebacker Adam Bighill, who has missed two games due to an ankle injury, participated in drills with the starting defensive unit at practice on Friday.

ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS (2-2): Toronto signed running back Chris Jennings to replace the injured Kackert. Jennings was released by the Montreal Alouettes last week after rushing for 29 yards on eight carries in one game. The Argonauts released veteran linebacker Brandon Isaac, leaving their defense under the leadership of linebacker Robert McCune (team-leading 27 tackles) and defensive end Jonathan Williams (team-leading two sacks). Slotback Chad Owens is tied with Montreal running back Noel Devine for the league lead with 802 total combined yards.

          TRENDS:

          * Lions are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
          * The over is 6-0 in Argonauts last six home games.
          * The Lions are 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings.
          * Under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings in Toronto.

          EXTRA POINTS:

          1. Toronto is 0-2 against West Division opponents.

          2. The Lions have scored 73 of their 104 points in the second half.

          3. Argonauts backup QB Zach Collaros, who will likely start if Ray is sidelined, has completed 7-of-10 passes for 112 yards in spot duty this season. He also has 24 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

CFL Betting Notes - Week 5

            July 23, 2013

The new CFL season is only four weeks old and the balance of power in the league has already shifted to the West Division with a combined straight up record of 11-5 as opposed to a combined 5-11 record in the East.

Last Friday night, Toronto beat Winnipeg 35-19 as a 3 ½-point road favorite in an East Division matchup but the following day Calgary stormed past Montreal 38-27 as a 7 ½-point home favorite in an inter-divisional showdown. British Columbia went on to hammer Edmonton 31-21 as a nine-point home favorite in this past Saturday’s second game.

Sunday’s game was another lopsided win for the West with Saskatchewan remaining undefeated on the year by posting a 37-0 shutout of Hamilton as a 7 ½-point favorite at home. The West is now a perfect 6-0 SU in inter-division matchups against the East this season.

The following is a brief betting preview for Week 5 of the CFL regular season with the opening pointspread and ‘over/under’ lines provided by TopBet.

            Thursday, July 25

            Edmonton Eskimos vs. Montreal Alouettes
            Point-spread: Montreal -5
            Total: 48.5

Edmonton’s loss to BC on Saturday in the back-end of a home-and-home series dropped its overall record to 1-3 both SU and against the spread. Its only win of the year was a 30-20 victory over Hamilton in Week 2 as a seven-point road underdog. The Eskimos have given-up the second most points in the West while scoring the fewest.

The Alouettes continue to struggle on offense as the loss of former head coach Marc Trestman to the NFL could be taking its toll. Montreal has now lost its last three games to fall to 1-3 SU and ATS on the year. The total has stayed UNDER in two of its last three games. Quarterback Anthony Calvillo has thrown four touchdowns and four interceptions in the first four games.

Montreal has won eight of the last nine meetings SU and is 7-2 ATS. It is a perfect 3-0 SU in the last three meetings at home including a tight 27-25 victory last October as a five-point favorite. The total ended as a PUSH on a closing line of 52 in that contest after going OVER in the previous two meetings.

ESPN2 will provide national coverage of this game at 7:30 p.m. ET.

            Friday, July 26

Calgary Stampeders vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
            Point-spread: Calgary -4
            Total: 56

Calgary is averaging 31.3 points a game which is the second-most in the CFL, but its defense has also allowed an average of 27.3 points in its first four games. The net result is a 3-1 mark both SU and ATS with the total going OVER in three of the four games. Quarterback Drew Tate remains questionable with a lingering arm injury, but Kevin Glenn has done a good job in relief.

The Blue Bombers have some injury concerns of their own with quarterback Buck Pierce listed as ‘doubtful’ with an abdominal strain. Last Friday’s loss to Toronto dropped them to 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS. The total has stayed UNDER in two of their last three games.

The Stampeders bring a seven-game SU winning streak over Winnipeg into this Friday’s matchup. However, they are just 3-5-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Calgary covered the spread in both games last season and the total has gone OVER in five of the last eight meetings in this series.

            Saturday, July 27

            Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
            Point-spread: Saskatchewan -4
            Total: 56

The Roughriders will put their four-game winning streak both SU and ATS on the line this Saturday night. This followed a five-game SU losing streak (0-4-1 ATS) to close-out the 2012 season. The total has gone OVER in three of their first four games this season and they lead the CFL in scoring with a total of 151 points (37.8 PPG).

Hamilton is 1-3 SU on the year and it has failed to cover in all four games. It also failed to score a single point in the first game of this home-and-home series this past Sunday after averaging 26.3 points in its first three contests this season. The Tiger-Cats are now the lowest scoring team in the East Division while allowing the most points of any team in the CFL.

Saskatchewan has now won five of the last seven meetings SU and is also 5-2 ATS over the same stretch of games. The total stayed UNDER the 59 ½-point line in last Sunday’s game and it has stayed UNDER in three of the last five meetings between the two. One of the teams in this series has scored 30 points or more in six of the last seven meetings.

            Tuesday, July 30

British Columbia Lions vs. Toronto Argonauts
            Point-spread: OFF
            Total: OFF

BC will get an extended break into early next week after this past Saturday’s win over Edmonton which should go a long way towards getting a few of its banged-up players off the current injury list. The Lions have won their last three games both SU and ATS after a disappointing 44-32 loss to Calgary on opening day as 3 ½-point road underdogs.

Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray leads the CFL in total passing yards with 1,203 while completing 75.4 percent of his throws. He has also tossed eight touchdowns against zero interceptions. The defending Grey Cup champs are 2-2 SU and ATS on the year with the total going OVER in three of the four games. Unfortunately Ray left last week’s game early with a knee injury and his status is ‘questionable’ for Sunday, which is why there is no early opening number on this matchup. Also injured last week for the Argos was running back Chad Kackert, who is ‘questionable’ as well for Week 5.

BC has won the last six meetings SU including a 24-16 victory on July 4 as a seven-point home favorite. It is 5-1 ATS during this run and the total has stayed UNDER in five of the last seven games. The Lions’ defense has allowed the second-fewest points in the league this season while the Argonauts come in as the highest scoring team in the East.

CFL Betting Notes - Week 6

                July 31, 2013

The CFL only has two games on the slate for Week 6 with half the teams on a bye. After the first five weeks of action there is a clear separation between the haves and the have nots in the league. Last Thursday night Montreal started Week 5 with a 32-27 victory over Edmonton as a four-point home favorite. On Friday night, Calgary moved to 4-1 straight-up with a 37-24 romp of Winnipeg as a 5 ½-point favorite on the road.

Saskatchewan remained the only undefeated team in the CFL with a 32-20 pasting of Hamilton last Saturday night as a four-point road favorite and in a rare Tuesday night clash, Toronto stunned British Columbia 38-12 as a 6 ½-point underdog at home.

The following is a brief betting preview for Week 6 of the CFL regular season with the opening pointspread and ‘over/under’ lines provided by The Greek.

                Friday, Aug. 2

                Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Edmonton Eskimos
                Pointspread: Edmonton -3
                Total: 54

Something has to give in this matchup with each team sporting just one win on the year. The Tiger-Cats have lost their last two games after beating Winnipeg 25-20 as a 5 ½-point home favorite in Week 3 for their only win on the year. They are 1-4 SU and a costly 0-5 against the spread. The total has stayed UNDER in their last four games.

The problems with this team are twofold. It has an offense that is ranked last in the league in scoring and a defense that has been torched for an average of 31.6 points a game, which is the most points allowed in the CFL. It is hard to blame quarterback Henry Burris for the slow start given that he leads the league in passing yards with 1,510 while completing 64.2 percent of his throws.

The Eskimos’ current losing streak now stands at three games both SU and ATS and they are also 1-4 SU (1-4 ATS) on the year. The total has gone OVER in their last two games and in three of five overall.

This is another team that has had trouble finding the end zone this season especially at home. Edmonton has averaged 26 points in three road games but it only managed 18 in its home opener against Saskatchewan and three points in a Week 3 loss to BC. Mike Reilly has taken the majority of the snaps at quarterback but he has only completed 56.3 percent of his passes and he has six interceptions verse five touchdown throws.

The home team in this series is 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and the total has gone OVER in three of the last four games. Edmonton struck first blood this season with a 30-20 victory in Week 2 as a seven-point road underdog. The total stayed UNDER the 55 ½-point line.

                Monday, Aug. 5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. British Columbia Lions
                Point-spread: BC -10
                Total: 47.5

The Bombers come into this inter-division clash with just one SU victory on the year and they are 2-3 ATS. They are actually 2-0 ATS on the road this season and the total has gone OVER in three of their first five games.

Quarterback Buck Pierce remains ‘questionable’ for this contest with a lingering abdominal injury so look for Justin Goltz to once again get the start if Pierce cannot go. Last week against the Stampeders he completed just 54.3 percent of his attempts for 194 yards and while he did toss two scoring strikes he was also picked-off once.

BC will have to quickly regroup after Tuesday’s ugly loss dropped it to 3-2 SU and ATS on the year. The total went OVER the 49-point line in that game and it has now gone OVER in three of the Lions first five games this year.

The Lions return home where they are 2-0 SU and ATS this season while averaging 27.5 points a game. Their defense has also played well in front of the home-two crowd this season; allowing a total of just 37 points in those two games. Travis Lulay is the third leading passer in the CFL with 1,200 yards while running back Andrew Harris is third in rushing with 403 yards.

This will be the first meeting this season, but BC holds a 15-6 SU edge in the last 21 games. The Lions are 8-3 SU in their last 11 home games against the Blue Bombers, but just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. The total has stayed UNDER in eight of the last nine meetings in BC.

Ti-Cats at Eskimos: What bettors need to know
                  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                  Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Edmonton Eskimos (-3, 53)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are reeling after back-to-back losses to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in which they were outscored 69-20 and surrendered 298 total rushing yards. On Friday, quarterback Henry Burris and the Tiger-Cats will try to recover when they visit the floundering Edmonton Eskimos. Burris leads the league with 1,510 passing yards, but Hamilton has only managed 99 points - tied with Edmonton for lowest in the league - because of its lack of a running game.

The Eskimos’ only win came against Hamilton in heavy rain at the Tiger-Cats’ temporary home in Guelph, Ont., in Week 2. Quarterback Mike Reilly was pulled briefly after a poor start in last week’s loss to the Montreal Alouettes, but returned to bring Edmonton within one yard of winning on a long final drive. Reilly has completed only 72-of-128 passes and has thrown more interceptions (six) than touchdowns (five) in his first stint as a CFL starter, but the Eskimos are short on options to replace him as they look for their first home win of 2013.

                  TV: 9 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (1-4): Running back Lindsey Lamar appeared to have solved Hamilton’s running issues with more than 100 total combined yards in a little over one quarter of action last week before he was injured by a high hit during a kickoff return. Lamar, who has 564 return yards as a rookie, was on the sidelines at practice Monday, along with newly signed linebacker Brandon Isaac. Veteran wide receiver Dave Stala caught two passes for 33 yards in his season debut, which was delayed because of injury.

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (1-4): Running back Hugh Charles had his strongest performance of the year in Edmonton’s 30-20 victory over the Tiger-Cats. Charles ran for 119 yards, including a 70-yard dash that resulted in his only touchdown of the season. The Eskimos defense has 10 sacks, while linebackers Damaso Munoz and JC Sherritt lead the team in tackles with 34 and 31, respectively. Slotback Fred Stamps leads the team with 315 receiving yards and slotback Cary Koch returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown filling in for injured kick returner Joe Burnett last week.

                  TRENDS:

                  * Tiger-Cats are 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall.
                  * Over is 9-2-1 in Eskimo's last 12 games overall.
                  * Under is 4-0 in Tiger-Cats last four games overall.
                  * Tiger-Cats are 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings.

                  EXTRA POINTS:

                  1. Edmonton is 0-2 at home; Hamilton is 0-2 on the road.

                  2. Burris, who is the only Tiger-Cats player with more than 100 rushing yards (139), is on pace to reach 5,000 passing yards for the third time in his career. The veteran pivot is fourth all-time in CFL touchdown passes with 308.

                  3. Hamilton has surrendered a league-worst 158 points and is 0-3 against West Division opponents.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers at B.C. Lions (-11, 49.5)

A week after naming Justin Goltz their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers face yet more questions under center. Goltz was hurt in his first career start and might not be available as the Blue Bombers try to snap a three-game skid when they visit the BC Lions on Monday. Goltz replaced struggling veteran pivot Buck Pierce, who is suffering from an abdominal injury, meaning that third-string quarterback Max Hall may get a chance to helm Winnipeg’s lacklustre offense.

The Lions' defense had trouble with a backup quarterback last week in a 38-12 road loss to Zach Collaros and the Toronto Argonauts. BC could not contain Toronto’s shifty offense, while quarterback Travis Lulay couldn't manage a touchdown on four separate trips to the red zone as the Lions failed to execute plays on both sides of the ball and saw their three-game winning streak come to an end. The Blue Bombers should not be as difficult for BC to defend, but Lulay will need to regain the form that saw him complete seven touchdown passes in the first four weeks.

                      TV: 7 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE BLUE BOMBERS (1-4): Winnipeg’s defensive line is no longer as fearsome as it appeared to start the season. Only defensive end Alex Hall and defensive tackle Zach Anderson have sacks in the last two weeks after the team recorded 18 over the first three. Hall leads the team with six sacks. Cornerback Jovon Johnson and defensive back Demond Washington are questionable for Monday’s game, while cornerback Jeremy McGee and defensive back Desia Dunn are expected to return from injury.

ABOUT THE LIONS (3-2): Linebacker Adam Bighill finished with two sacks in his return after missing two weeks with an ankle injury, but missed numerous other opportunities against the mobile Collaros. Running back Andrew Harris has 403 yards and is on pace for a career highs in yardage and touchdowns, while Lulay has added 180 yards on the ground. Slotback Nick Moore has 357 receiving yards - 42 shy of the mark he set last year in his sophomore season.

                      TRENDS:

                      * Lions are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
                      * Blue Bombers are 4-0 ATS in their last four Monday games.
                      * Under is 6-1 in Lions last seven games in August.
                      * Under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings in BC.

                      EXTRA POINTS:

                      1. Max Hall, who started three games at quarterback for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals in 2010, has yet to run a play in a CFL game.

                      2. BC has given up five touchdowns in each of its two losses while allowing three total in its three victories.

                      3. The Lions are 2-0 at home.

-- Underdogs went 1-1 straight up in Week 6
-- Underdogs went 2-0 against the spread in Week 6
-- Home and Road teams went 1-1 record in Week 6
                            -- The 'over/under' went 1-1 in Week 6

                            Team Betting Notes

-- British Columbia (4-2) picked themselves off the mat for a 27-20 home win over Winnipeg (1-5), after the Lions were flattened in Toronto the week before. The Lions are now unbeaten in three games at home, and they are 2-1 ATS in Vancouver.

-- The Blue Bombers have now dropped four straight games since their lone victory in Week 2 at Montreal. However, Winnipeg is a rather impressive 3-0 ATS on the road, and 0-3 ATS at home.

-- Hamilton (2-4) earned a much-needed victory, its first since July 13, with a road win at Edmonton (1-5). It was the first cover for the Ti-Cats in six games overall this season. The 'over' in their Week 6 game ended a string of four straight 'unders'.

-- The Eskimos are now 1-5 ATS after failing to cover as a home favorite in Week 6. The Esks have now failed to cover in four straight weeks dating back to their lone win July 7 at Hamilton. The over has cashed in three straight games for Edmonton, however.

CFL Betting Notes - Week 7

                              August 6, 2013

The CFL enters its second and final bye week of the year so once again there are only two games on the Week 7 slate. Last Friday night, Hamilton squeezed-out a 30-29 victory over Edmonton as a three-point underdog on the road. The total in that game went OVER the 52 ½-point line. This past Monday night, British Columbia beat Winnipeg 27-20 as an 11-point home favorite. The total for that game stayed UNDER the 48-point line.

The following is a brief betting preview for the two games in the CFL this week with the opening pointspread and 'over/under' lines provided by The Greek.

                              Thursday, August 8

                              Toronto Argonauts vs. Montreal Alouettes
                              Pointspread: Montreal -1 ½
                              Total Line: 54

Toronto went into its bye week with a two-game winning streak that improved its record to 3-2 both straight-up and against the spread. It knocked-off Winnipeg 35-19 on the road in Week 4 as a 3 ½-point favorite and last Tuesday night it stunned BC 38-12 as a 7 ½-point underdog at home. The total has gone OVER in four of its five games this year.

The Argonauts could have their hands full against their East Division rivals if quarterback Ricky Ray is unable to go. Zach Collaros played well in his place in the victory over the Lions, but Ray was off to another great start with 1,203 yards passing while completing 75.4 percent of his throws.

Montreal used its bye week to shake things up after a disappointing 2-3 start SU and ATS. It fired head coach Dan Hawkins and replaced him with Jim Popp. The Alouettes beat Edmonton 32-27 as four-point home favorites their last time out, but this followed three-straight losses in which they were outscored 79-52. The total has gone OVER in three of their first five games.

The change at the top could work in long-time veteran quarterback Anthony Calvillo's favor as Popp brings some familiarity back into the offense. Calvillo has really struggled in what should be his final season in the CFL with a completion percentage of just 60.1 and four interceptions verse five touchdown throws.

The Argonauts are 4-14 SU and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games against Montreal and the total has stayed UNDER in the last five meetings. This will be the first meeting this season after splitting their four games in 2012 both SU and ATS.

                              Friday, August 9

                              Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Calgary Stampeders
                              Pointspread: Calgary -3
                              Total Line: 56

The upstart Roughriders will put their five-game winning streak on the line this Friday night in a crucial early season West Division showdown. They already beat the Stampeders 36-21 in Week 2 as 2 ½-point home favorites with the total going OVER the 55 ½-point line. Saskatchewan is also a perfect 5-0 ATS and the total has gone OVER in three of the five games.

This team has gotten it done on both sides of the ball this season with the highest scoring offense in the league (36.6 points a game) complementing a defense that is holding its opponents to an average of 17.4 points a game. Darian Durant has thrown for 1,021 yards and 12 touchdowns while completing 69.2 percent of his passes.

Calgary is 4-1 both SU and ATS on the year following a 37-24 victory over the Blue Bombers in Week 5 as a 5 ½-point road favorite. The total went OVER the 48 ½-point line and it has now gone OVER in four of its five games. The Stampeders are averaging 32.4 points a game while allowing 26.6 points a game on defense.

Look for Drew Tate to get the start at quarterback on Friday night. He missed some time due to injury, but appears to be ready to go after using the bye week to get healthy. Tate's numbers on the year are an impressive 38-for-52 for 468 yards and five touchdowns. The Stampeders have also gotten a solid effort from Jon Cornish running the ball. He has racked-up 501 yards on 77 carries.

The Roughriders have lost seven of their last nine games against Calgary SU but they are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The total has gone OVER in four of those five games. The Stampeders are 5-1 SU in its last six home games against Saskatchewan.
