I started taking profits in HLIT today..

I have legged out of 3/4 of my position and am looking at the last 1/4.

Got an average of 8.15 on the sale, a nice return on the trade..better than my betting lately anyway!

Been watching CLN, let me know when you hear the good news..if I dont see it first of course!

NGEN is so strong..hasnt had a down day in quite a while..what a bummer...

Wallstreet-Congrats. on nice hit on hlit.
Re: cln-I watch it all the time and there is god information posted on both the yahoo and raging bull chatlines.
Speaking of Ragingbull, check out post 22732 on celsion(cln) chatboard.
The same person, Tom Genna, who is extremely knowledgeable and who recommended cln when it was $.50, has another stock which he likes apns(alzhemiers disease);read the writeup if you can.
Anyways, I took a relatively small position yesterday at .34(6000 shares);obviously its speculative but I am willing to take the chance.
I am still holding lu and have nice profit on percentage basis at least.
I also have imnr and astm, which are also in uptrends.
ps apns also has chatboard on Ragingbull.
ps I would be remiss if I didn't mention that only a VERY small percentage of my overall holdings are in speculative stocks like these and any or all of them could go under;just a warning for anyone who might be interested;in short only discretionary money should be invested in companies like this.

        Savage,

I used to paruse the Ragingbull threads often when I traded stocks very actively and used to rub elbows..especially on FIBR..I had a great 2 yrs on that board bashing all the idiot longs who would bash the shorts for no reason..and of course now that same stock went from 75 to 3, without including a like 10 for 1 RS on top of that..

CLN hitting the HOD as I write this, and 7 cents is not bad on a percentage basis for a short term trade.. I am completely flat..I hold nothing which is amazing..in all my accounts I am flat..time to start hunting. I am worried that the market is due for a drop, especially the NAZ..and I will hold the basket waiting for some deals to come my way..specifically the following:

        HLIT
        SONS
        MRVC
        IVAN
        NGEN
        TERN
        VTSS

There are others, but that is a good start list..

Wallstreet-as you well know, patience is a virtue. There is always another day, another stock.
My speculative stocks in varying amounts of shares are imnr, astm, cln, apns, lu, ipfs, plrs and pjtg.
I am also embarrassed to admit I have 120000 shares of adot;don't get too excited, as stock is under $.02.
My more solid and much more substantial portfolio includes Lowe, GE, IBM, etc;this is the managed account, and the one which I derive my monthly income from in addition to my pension.
Hope above doesn't bore you or anyone.
There isn't too much in between;I have my "gambling" stocks and my solid portfolio;the solid portfolio a stated is my bread and butter.
Of course my entertainment at night and on weekends is derived from the picks of EZ, Memphis, Poboy, Wayne, Goldvike etc. with a few of my own thrown in once in a while.
What a life-stocks and gambling and looking for a suitable woman on several dating services on the internet(hopefully one who like Memphis who can pick some winners).
I should add that chatting and reading posts on the gamblers chatline and stock chatline comprises the rest of my existence.
I am exaggerating a little as I spend a lot of time with my soon to be 9 year old daughter, and that is more important than any money won or lost.

Vinnie-don't know much about it, but I see it had a nice move today.
              Perhaps Wallstreet does.
I remember Curt Rambus of the LA Lakers a longtime ago-a gutsy, hardnosed player with so-so abilities.

                Vinnie,

I know RMBS and love it..too bad I wasnt buying when it was in the shitter back last year. I think it is way too high here for a trade, although the sucker is doing great. It seems that all the stars are in alignment for the stock, but little has actually happened to show the result of the runup. This stock is extremely volitile and is not for the weak of heart. I remember trading this sucker back before they did the HUGE 4 for 1 stock split..man those were the days.

                Savage,
I agree..and we have stated many times that these things we talk about are not for the weak of heart, gambling or trading at best. I think I dabble in less of the "buckers" than you do, but my stocks are just as volitile. I normally do not trade the AMEX stocks and I also have rarely traded the stem cells or the seasonal stocks (I consider IMNR a seasonal stock) and I have seen many of these puppies get killed, and many of them run hard too..

I love the market..to me it is not gambling since I have a firm feel for the stocks I trade and I have the discipline to buy in stages and normally I do not get shaken out like I did on NGEN..that will be my pisser stock for the year...so in confidence I know the ones I list and purchase will work for me.

For those who do not have the time or the desire, let me again recomment Jim Cramer and his service..the guy was up 30+% last year and has a pay service, runs 300 or so a year where he posts his trades before he makes them..the guy is solid..not bought by any company or mutual fund..I highly recommend him for a portfolio type of guidence..follow his plays for a moderate aggressive approach to INVESTING..not trading.

I noticed a bit of AH movment in CLN today, I was tempted but didnt purchase..especially after the retracement back to 1.50..I think I will have plenty of chances if I want that I dont have to chase.

Thanks Wallstreet. I know Cramer is good, but I personally find him a little abrasive at times when he is on CNBC.
