I had an easy 14-point cover yesterday (Hornets). I'm having a very good basketball season that would be a lot better were it not for the bad picks on the 2* plays, as shown above. I think this is a great time of the year to play the NBA as some teams really pick it up while others are banged up, coasting or have packed it in. Plus, I don't do anything with baseball for the first few weeks as my baseball is almost exclusively based on playing hot teams and going against bad bullpens and I don't know who those are until they start playing. Enough, already, what are the picks?
1* Hawks -10 1/2
The Cavs have been without their three best players for weeks and are on fumes.
1* Jazz -9 1/2
Portland had a nice team this year but eventually Terry Stotts' inept coaching kicked in. For all of Paul Allen's money, until he starts spending some of it on a real coach and a real arena, this team will under-achieve.
Opinion only:
Bobcats
(Jim Boylan has managed to hack off every one of his players; Jennings put out a bad tweet last night ripping the moron coach. Too bad, Milwaukee has real talent, until they all leave at the end of the year. Ditto on the coaching comment>)
