I follow NBA line movement closely. This is rather easy to explain. The Grizzlies have rest while the Knicks played last night. Bettors jump on that big in the NBA. I think they overreact most of the time. I wouldn't worry much about the line movement; it usually doesn't mean that much. "Vegas" doesn't know who's going to win this game any more than any of the rest of us. The Knicks have played very well since they got healthy and the Grizzlies are in a very mild slump. I think his pick is fine

books make a lot of lines according to who they think the bettors will bet. being here in vegas, LA teams get a lot of action, so the laker & clipper numbers (lakers more so) are higher than you would think.
