    Armadillo: Sunday's six-pack

-- Belmont 70, Murray State 68 OT-- Game of the Day, as Bruins won OVC tourney in their first year in league- they've now won 18 of their last 20 conference tournament games.

-- Amare Stoudemire needs his knee scoped, will be out for six weeks, so he will probably miss the rest of the regular season.

-- So Joe Flacco gets $20M a year but Anquan Boldin gets offered a cut in pay? That should go over well in the Ravens' locker room next year.

-- Cleveland Browns ($47.2M), Cincinnati Bengals ($41.7M) have most room under salary cap, with NFL free agency starting on Tuesday.

-- NCAA tournament is coming to Madison Square Garden for first time in over fifty years when they host the East Regionals next March.

-- Duke 69, North Carolina 53-- One of the worst games of the day, just a complete butt-kicking. Tar Heels had been playing very well.

    *****

Armadillo: Sunday's List of 13: Wrapping up a sports Saturday.......

    13) San Diego State-Boise State was a physical, chippy game; these same teams will play in the 4-5 game at the MWC tourney in Las Vegas Thursday, the midnight game. Both teams deserve to be in the NCAAs, but that midnight game Thursday might be the game of the day.

    12) First round of the Sun Belt tournament is weird; everyone is in Hot Springs, AR, but games are played in two different gyms at same time. I'm watching the Troy State game and without a word, they switch to the end of the South Alabama game. I liked that they try to show us everything, but it did confuse me some, which these days isn't all that difficult.

    11) Memphis beat UAB by 15, finished 16-0 in Conference USA; it does not matter what league you're in, finishing unbeaten is an accomplishment to be proud of- they had to beat Southern Miss, UTEP twice each.

    10) Valparaiso 70, Green Bay 69-- Top-seeded Crusaders trailed 68-64 with 0:10 left, but stuck two treys in last 0:08, including one at the buzzer to send the home crowd home happy. Bitter loss for Green Bay.

    9) Kentucky 61, Florida 57-- Gators didn't score for last 7:36, as Wildcats probably got the marquee win they need to make field of 68.

    8) CBS showed Florida-Kentucky at noon, UCLA-Washington at 2:00, then Notre Dame-Louisville at 4:00; why make west coast teams play an 11:00 am local tipoff, instead of 1:00? Makes very little sense.

    7) Georgetown 61, Syracuse 39-- Orangemen head to their last Big East tournament 1-4 in their last five games, 5-7 in their last twelve.

    6) These upsets all happened in the 6-8 timeslot Saturday:
-- Fresno State 61, UNLV 52-- Bulldogs swept the Rebels this season.
-- Air Force 89, New Mexico 88-- Improved Falcons are 17-12.
-- Baylor 81, Kansas 58-- This score defies description.

    5) UNLV's loss puts them in the noon local time game Thursday against Air Force, which will hurt the home attendance and get them a much tougher opponent- Princeton offense is a pain to defend, and Rebels didn't fare well against Air Force this year, splitting a pair, with the win in OT.

    4) Halftime score: TCU 44, Oklahoma 22-- Sooners rallied, lost by 3; if you are a bubble team, you cannot lose to TCU in March. Hard to defend in a meeting room when your name comes up in front of the committee.

    3) I'd be curious to know the politics involved with Italy coming to Arizona to play in the WBC, with the Cuban team going to Asia; did the Cubans not want to come to America, and risk having players defect?

    2) Little tired of hearing NYC media types complaining about all the injuries the Knicks are having. This just in: older players get hurt more, and no one has an older roster than New York.

    1) They don't move the clocks ahead in Arizona, so on Saturday night it is a two hour time difference between them and the east, but for the next six months, they're three hours behind. Have no idea why that is true, but it is.

NASCAR betting: Kobalt Tools 400 preview

No event on the Sprint Cup Series schedule caters to sports bettors like the Kobalt Tools 400 from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Sin City is packed with racing fans and books are offering a long list of odds and props for Sunday’s 1.5-mile race at the tri-oval track.

      Favorite: Jimmie Johnson (+600)

No. 48 is the only active driver with an average finish under 10.0 at Las Vegas, bringing a 9.82 AF into this weekend’s race. Johnson has won four of his 11 starts at LVMS and finished second in last year’s race. The five-time Sprint Cup champion is off to another strong start in 2013, leading the point standings after a win at Daytona and a close runner-up showing at Phoenix last Sunday.

      Live dog: Carl Edwards (+1,000)

If momentum counts for anything, Edwards is a nice bet at this price coming off his win at Phoenix. The No. 99 driver has performed well in the desert heat, owning a 10.25 average finish and two wins in eight career starts at Las Vegas, while completing every single lap in those races. There is a nice rivalry brewing between Edwards and Johnson heading into the weekend, so expect those two to tangle.

      Long shot: Marco Ambrose (+10,000)

Ambrose has run well at Las Vegas in his limited starts, finishing 13th last year and fourth in 2011. In four career races at LVMS, he’s built a 12.8 average finish and has completed 99.9 percent of laps. The Aussie driver sits just outside of the top 10 in points, posting back-to-back 18th-place finishes so far this season. He’s driving the right car at Las Vegas, with four of the past 10 Kobalt Tools 400 winners parking their Fords in Victory Lane.

Key stat: Dale Earnhardt Jr. scored a top-10 finish in all nine of his starts at 1.5 mile tracks last year. His average finish of 7.7 at 1.5-mile tracks in 2012 was the best of any driver, and his nine top 10s were the best in the Series, despite him missing two races.

      Notable quotable:

“Las Vegas is a rough track and not very smooth anymore. There are just so many challenges and unknowns heading into Las Vegas, and that’s what everyone is worried about. You can test all day long, but it isn’t the same as racing. Until everyone brings their best effort to the track, you really don’t know where you stand. We feel like we’ve had good tests, but things tend to be different come race time.” – Jeff Burton told speedtv.com.

Chan: National League East betting preview

Welcome to the National League East, a.k.a. Downtown Abby, where three teams (Nationals, Braves, Phillies) will live upstairs, and the other two (Mets, Marlins) occupy the lower quarters.

        WASHINGTON NATIONALS

        World Series futures: 7/1
        Season win total: 92.5
        Division odds: 10/11

Washington has added a few key ingredients to the mix that produced 98 wins last season. Denard Span gives the Nats the legit leadoff hitter they’ve been seeking for years, and Rafael Soriano could be the lights-out closer that’s been missing. Bryce Harper may move to the three-hole in a lineup that should score plenty. But the strength of the team is its starting pitching. Stephen Strasburg will no longer be wearing a 160-inning choke chain, and Dan Haren is an upgrade in the back of a rotation that also includes Gio Gonzalez and Jordan Zimmerman.

        ATLANTA BRAVES

        World Series futures: 14/1
        Season win total: 87
        Division odds: 8/5

Atlanta is now flush with Uptons (BJ and Justin) in the outfield and appears to have enough pitching depth to hang with Washington at the top of the division, especially if Kris Medlen and Mike Minor come close to replicating their 2012 second-half success. Jason Heyward joins the Uptons in giving Atlanta a better-than-decent offensive outfield, but will they be a huge upgrade from the departed Martin Prado and Michael Bourn? Andrelton Simmons looks like the real deal at SS, but he’s still a kid.

        PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

        World Series futures: 20/1
        Season win total: 84
        Division odds: 7/2

Philadelphia had a boatload of injuries last season (Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Roy Halladay) and it certainly impacted the bottom line (81-81, 17 games behind the Nats). But do the Phillies have to bitch about it all the time? The Phillies will have pretty much the same cast this season, with Michael Young taking over at 3B. Three of the five expected starters (Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee and Nats castoff John Lannan) are lefties, and if the staff has a good season, wacko closer Jonathan Papelbon will have a ton of saves.

        NEW YORK METS

        World Series futures: 100/1
        Season win total: 74.5
        Division odds: 25/1

Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey was traded, leaving David Wright to turn chicken droppings into chicken salad. It won’t be easy, as the Mets don’t look appreciably better than last year’s 74-win team. Johan Santana will anchor the staff, but with his aching arm there are no guarantees he can get to 25 starts. Frank Francisco had 19 saves last season, but with this weak lineup there won’t be a lot of closing opportunities.

        MIAMI MARLINS

        World Series futures: 300/1
        Season win total: 63.5
        Division odds: 100/1

Salary dumps never go over well with the fan base, especially right after public funds are used to help build a new stadium. Clueless owner Jeffrey Loria, who gutted the Expos like a bluefish and forced the team to move to D.C., is in retrench mode after sending the core his roster (Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson, John Buck and Emilio Bonifacio) to the Blue Jays for some kids. Pretty much all that’s left from an offense that was 29th in the league last year is slugger Giancarlo Stanton, and even if Stanton hits 120 homers it won’t come close to making up for a no-name pitching staff that will give up a lot of runs.

              Armadillo's Write-Up

              Sunday, March 10

-- VCU won eight of last nine games, with only loss by 14 at St Louis; Rams are 5-2 on A-16 road (other loss was in OT at Richmond), 1-5 as road favorites. Temple won last six games; they're 3-1 as A-16 dog, with last three such games all decided by a point. A-16 home underdogs of 4 or less points are 8-12 vs spread. Owls are 5-2 SU in A-16 home games, losing as double digit favorites to St Bonaventure and Duquesne.
-- Illinois (+3) shot 65% inside arc, beat Ohio State 74-55 at home Jan 5, game they led by 25 at one point. Illini are 3-5 on Big Dozen road, 2-3 as road underdog, losing away games by 7-23-5-13-8 points. Buckeyes are off big win at Indiana, their fourth win in row; OSU is 5-3 as home fave in league play. Six of last eight Illinois games, last four OSU games went under total. Big Dozen home favorites of 8+ points are 17-19.
-- Michigan won four of last five games, with last three all decided by 6 or less points; Wolverines (+5.5) lost 81-73 at Indiana Feb 2, as Indiana shot 59% inside arc, outscored Michigan 22-6 from foul line. Six of last nine Michigan games went over total. Big Dozen home teams are 17-12 when spread is 4 or less points. Hoosiers lost two of last three, are 2-2 in last four road games- they're 2-0 as a Big Dozen underdog this year.
-- Virginia (+2) made 11-19 from arc, won 80-69 at Maryland Feb 10, as Harris scored 22 points while taking only eight shots; Cavaliers just lost at BC/Florida State, after beating Duke, so they're on bubble, are 8-0 vs spread in ACC home games (6-0 as home favorite)- six of seven wins are by 9+ points. Maryland is 2-4 as road underdog, losing away games by 7-10-20-2-11-10. ACC home favorites of 8 or less points are 14-21.
-- Wichita State/Creighton split two games this year; Bluejays had an eFG% of 81.9% last Saturday in 91-79 win, making 22-26 inside arc, 11 of 21 outside it, unheard of numbers- they lost by 3 at Wichita in first meeting. Shockers haven't won MVC tourney since 1987, so this would be bigger for them; think both teams are in NCAAs. Creighton won this event LY, 4th time in 10 years; they've won six of last seven games.

-- Northeastern had bye yesterday, George Mason struggled with 60-54 win over Drexel, making them 4-4 in last eight games; Mason had three guys play 31+ minutes, only two subs play more than six. Huskies beat Mason twice this year, by 10-20 points, but they're 2-3 last five games after starting out 12-1 in CAA- they shot 51%+ inside arc both games vs George Mason. Four of Northeastern's last six CAA tourney games were decided by 4 or less points.
-- James Madison is 4-2 in last six games, with all six decided by five or less points. Last six times Delaware won CAA tourney game, they lost next game, all by 9+ points; Hens are 11-2 in last 13 games after starting year 8-11- they've won five in row since 72-71 home loss to JMU Feb 17, game Hens led by 11 in second half. Dukes beat Delaware by 14 Jan 23. JMU played 7 guys yesterday, two 39 minutes each. Hens also had 7-man rotation, with three guys playing 34+ minutes.
-- Richard Pitino has FIU 17-13 after being 8-21 for Isiah Thomas LY; Panthers lost twice to top-seed Middle Tennessee this year, with 66-64 home loss (+8.5) after FIU led by 20 in first half. Immense pressure on Middle to win this event; they're 20-1 in league, won last 17 games, are 58-29 in league last five years, but haven't gone to NCAAs. FIU played four guys 30+ minutes Saturday, used two subs for 22+ minutes.
-- Arkansas State survived OT game with Troy last nite, with 22-8 edge on foul line; State beat Western Kentucky twice this year, by 18-14, so they've got to be expecting to beat WKU squad that is playing for third night in row, while State is playing second. ASU had four guys play 30+ minutes last nite, two play 40+- they won last seven games they held foe under 70 points. WKU had only two guys play 29+ min. last nite.
-- Iona won MAAC tourney in '06, Niagara in '07; neither team won it since, but winner here will be favored in final Monday. Iona won its last three games, scoring 86.3 ppg; eight of their last ten games were decided by 4 or less points, or in OT. Gaels beat Niagara by 11 at home, lost by 3 in OT in rematch; they outscored Canisius 34-12 on foul line in 89-85 win last nite, playing four guys 31+ minutes. Niagara forced 20 miscues in win over Siena last night- three kids played 34+ minutes.
-- Manhattan beat Fairfield twice this year, 62-40/34-31, second game being worst D-I game I've seen, ever. Stags survived Rider 43-42, using three kids 32+ minutes in brickfest where Broncs were 0-6 from arc for whole game. Jaspers sent Loyola out of MAAC for good with upset last nite, playing seven guys, but only one more than 28 minutes. Fairfield is playing third night in row, Manhattan only second night in row.

-- Davidson is 14-3 in SoCon tourney last 7+ years, winning four times; Wildcats pounded Appalachian State twice this year, by 23-35 points in games played two weeks apart. ASU played three guys 31+ minutes last night but used three subs 12+ minutes. Davidson made 13-28 from arc in easy win last night. ASU is 1-3 in second conference tourney game last four years, with losses by 16-13-10 points.
-- Elon is 1-7 in its second SoCon tourney game last nine years (are 8-1 in first game); they lost 56-54 at home to Charleston in December, when Elon was just 5-3 (they're on 13-3 run now). Cougars are 10-6 in SoCon tourney last six years but haven't won it during that time- they had 29-9 edge in foul line last night, their 11th win in last 13 games. Elon played four guys 29+ minutes last nite, but used three subs 10+.
-- Oakland won eight of its last ten games, but both losses were against Fort Wayne, by 6-2 points; sharpshooter Bader (38.9% from arc for the year) is just 3-21 from arc in two games vs Mastadons, who've won five games in row, scoring 79.7 ppg last three, after 8-16 start vs D-1 teams. Fort Wayne lost first game in Summit tourney last two years; Six of last seven Oakland games were decided by six or less points.
-- North Dakota State's Braun scored 22 points in 29 minutes last game, after missing 10 of previous 11 games; Bison pounded on UMKC twice this season by 65-44/71-34 scores- they're just 6-5 in last eleven games, after starting season 16-3. Kangaroos shot 16-49 (32.7%) inside arc in two losses to Bison this year. Not big fan of laying double digit spreads in conference tournaments, but hard to back UMKC here.

                  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Study group: Sunday’s Top 25 NCB betting notes
                  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                  (19) VCU at Temple (+2)

Virginia Commonwealth needs to land a tough road win at Temple to clinch at least a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season title. The Rams have won three straight to keep the pressure on Saint Louis on top of the tightly-wound standings. The running Rams are 12th in the nation in scoring averaging 78 points and they've rang up at least 90 points eight times on the season. Temple is suddenly the hottest team in the conference. The Owls are 13-3 at home and bring a six-game winning streak into Sunday afternoon's contest. The Owls have an RPI of 41 and would relish another signature win to add to their NCAA Tournament resume. VCU is 0-5 ATS in its last five road games.

                  (21) Wisconsin at Penn State (+8.5)

Two consecutive losses in the past week knocked the Wisconsin Badgers out of the Big Ten title race. On Sunday, the Badgers will try to avoid finishing their regular season on a season-high three-game losing skid. Penn State, guaranteed to finish at the bottom of the conference, has won two of three after snapping a 14-game losing skid with a shocking home win over No.4 Michigan. The Nittany Lions were blown out by Minnesota on the road after that, but recovered to defeat Northwestern by seven points. Wisconsin defeated Penn State 60-51 at home on Jan. 3 to open conference play for both teams. The Nittany Lions are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.

Illinois at (13) Ohio State (-9.5)

When Ohio State met a ranked Illinois team on Jan. 5, the Illini enjoyed their largest margin of victory against a ranked opponent since 1964. But when the Buckeyes host Illinois on Sunday, they will have a chance to avenge that loss and earn a share of their fourth consecutive Big Ten title. Ohio State began the season 11-2, but endured one of its worst shooting performances against the Illini in a 74-55 road loss. The Buckeyes have since recovered and won four straight – including Tuesday’s 67-58 victory at Indiana – after a 1-3 stretch in February. Ohio State is one game behind Indiana in the Big Ten standings, but can grab a share of regular-season crown with a loss by the Hoosiers at Michigan on Sunday and a win against Illinois. The Fighting Illini are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.

                  (2) Indiana at (8) Michigan (Pick)

Indiana has already secured the top seed in next week’s Big Ten Tournament, but one more win on Sunday at Michigan could wrap up its first outright conference title since 1993. Indiana also owns a league-best 6-2 road record and an 81-73 victory over the Wolverines in Bloomington on Feb. 2, but has lost two of its last three. Michigan has won four of five, with three of the victories coming at the Crisler Center. The Wolverines, who shared the regular-season title with the Buckeyes and Spartans last season, are 17-0 at home this season. Michigan is 1-8 ATS in its last nine games overall.

Northwestern at (12) Michigan State (-19.5)

Michigan State can possibly claim a piece of the Big Ten title when it hosts Northwestern in the regular-season finale Sunday. The Spartans will need Indiana to lose earlier in the day at No. 8 Michigan to put itself in position to share the championship with a win against the Wildcats. Michigan State is coming off four straight games against ranked opponents. The Spartans ended a three-game losing streak with a win Thursday against Wisconsin. Northwestern enters the game on a seven-game slide, their longest losing streak since 2007-08. The Wildcats have lost five players for the season due to injury or disciplinary reasons. The road team is 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

Indiana at Michigan: What bettors need to know
                    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Indiana Hoosiers at Michigan Wolverines (Pick, 145.5)

No. 2 Indiana has already secured the top seed in next week’s Big Ten Tournament, but one more win on Sunday at No. 8 Michigan could wrap up its first outright conference title since 1993. However, a loss to the Wolverines could open the door for as many as four teams – including Michigan – to share the regular-season crown. The Hoosiers hold a one-game lead over Michigan State, Ohio State and Michigan and have already guaranteed themselves a piece of the Big Ten crown for the first time since 2002.

                    4 p.m. ET, CBS

ABOUT INDIANA (25-5, 13-4 Big Ten):
Three starters – Victor Oladipo (49.1 percent), Jordan Hulls (48.3) and Christian Watford (48.1) – are shooting over 48 percent beyond the arc, contributing to the nation’s fourth-best 3-point field goal percentage (41.8). Along with Cody Zeller and Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell, the Hoosiers boast the highest-scoring starting lineup in college basketball. The Hoosiers also convert more free throws per game than any other team (19.7), rank second in scoring margin (plus-19.1) and third in scoring (81.1 points). The Hoosiers enjoyed a 22-6 advantage from the foul line over Michigan in February and have made 111 more free throws than their opponents have attempted (590-479).

                    ABOUT MICHIGAN (25-5, 12-5):
Trey Burke (19.1 points, 6.9 assists) is averaging 24 points and shooting 52.1 percent from the floor over his last five games. He became only the fourth Wolverine to post more than 200 assists in a season in last Sunday’s win over the Spartans and is 28 assists shy of setting the school record for the most in a single season. Michigan leads the country in fewest turnovers (9.4 per game) and is shooting 49 percent from the floor – the seventh-best mark in the nation. The Wolverines are 22-0 when converting at least 33 percent of their 3-pointers this season, but 3-5 when they do not.

                    TRENDS:

                    * Wolverines are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games overall.
                    * Over is 4-1 in Hoosiers’ last five road games.
                    * Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.

                    TIP-INS:

                    1. Indiana has won the last four meetings when both teams are ranked in the top 10, but lost each of its last three in Ann Arbor.

                    2. Michigan – seeking its fifth undefeated home season since 1976-77 – has won seven straight home games against nationally-ranked opponents.

                    3. Six starters in this game (Oladipo, Hulls, Watford, Zeller, Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr.) have scored at least 1,000 career points.

Fullcourt press: Sunday's NBA betting notes
                          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder (-10.5, 200.5)

The Celtics' five-game winning streak is the third-longest active streak in the league behind Miami (17) and Denver (8). Oklahoma City has won four straight and seven of eight. It also has won four straight at home, where its 27-4 mark is the third-best in the league. It's the last of two meetings this season. The Celtics won the first matchup 108-100 on Nov. 23 in Boston. Boston is 5-0 ATS in its last five games overall.

Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers (-5.5, 194.5)

Chicago has lost four of its last seven but is coming off an 89-88 win over Utah and is clinging to fifth place in the East. The Bulls are an impressive 17-13 on the road as they head into Staples Center, where the Lakers have won five straight. Los Angeles is above .500 for the first time since it was 6-5 and has pulled even with struggling Utah for eighth place. Chicago has won the past three meetings since snapping a seven-game skid against the Lakers, including a 95-83 home victory in the first meeting this season on Jan. 21. The Bulls are 1-6 ATS in their last seven Sunday games.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Toronto Raptors (-5.5, 202.5)

The Toronto Raptors have faded from the Eastern Conference playoff picture with losses in six of their last seven games. The Cavaliers have been much improved over the past couple of months and have won five of their last nine, but they're coming off a 103-92 loss to Memphis on Friday. It's the last of four meetings this season, and the Raptors are trying to salvage a split of the series. Toronto won 113-99 at Cleveland in the first meeting, but the Cavaliers have won the past two contests - 99-98 at Toronto and 103-92 at home. The underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

                          Philadelphia 76ers at Orlando Magic (+2, 195)

The wheels have totally come off for the Sixers, who have dropped four straight and 11 of their last 12 games to plummet out of contention in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia has dropped 12 straight away from home, its worst skid since losing 20 straight in 1987-88. Orlando is trying to stop a dubious streak of its own, having suffered seven straight losses at home. The Magic were one game below .500 when power forward Glen Davis sustained the first of two injuries. Since that time, the Magic have lost 33 of 38 games. One of their five victories in that stretch came at the expense of the 76ers in Philadelphia on Feb. 26. The over is 5-0 in the Magic’s last five Sunday games.

Indiana Pacers at Miami Heat (-6.5, 190)

The Miami Heat have bulldozed through every team in their path over the past five weeks but they will not lack for motivation when they put their franchise-record 17-game winning streak on the line against the Pacers. The last team to beat the Heat was the Pacers, who have won both matchups against Miami this season, including a 102-89 victory on Feb. 1. The Pacers have limited the Heat to 77 and 89 points in two double-digit home victories this season. Indiana has not allowed 100 points in 11 consecutive games. The Heat are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games while the Pacers are 5-0 ATS in their last five away from home.

Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Hornets (+2.5, 196.5)

The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off perhaps their most impressive performance of the season but they cannot afford a misstep when they visit the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday. The Trail Blazers ran roughshod over the Western Conference-leading San Antonio Spurs on Friday, rolling up 136 points in a stunning 30-point romp, and now return to the site of one of their most embarrassing losses, when they were trampled by the Hornets 99-63 on Feb. 13. The Hornets have dropped eight of 10 since drubbing Portland, with the wins both coming at home against two of the league's weaker clubs, Sacramento and Detroit. The Blazers are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Dallas Mavericks at Minnesota Timberwolves (+2.5, 202.5)

The Dallas Mavericks look to keep their postseason hopes alive on Sunday when they continue their four-game road trip against the injury-plagued Minnesota Timberwolves, who have dropped seven of their last eight games. The Timberwolves are down to nine healthy players with forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf) and center Nikola Pekovic (abdominal strain) hoping to return next week. The under is 6-0-1 in Minnesota’s last seven home games.

Milwaukee Bucks at Sacramento Kings (-1.5, 215)

Milwaukee guards Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings combined for 57 points in a 103-93 victory over Golden State on Saturday, pulling the Bucks within two games of seventh-place Atlanta in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Sacramento, which is in the midst of playing five of six games at home, connected on 13 3-pointers in a 121-112 win over Phoenix on Friday. The Kings have made 10 or more 3-pointers in seven of their last nine games. The Bucks are 6-0 ATS in their last six Sunday games.

Detroit Pistons at Los Angeles Clippers (-14, 198)

This is the opener of a three-game homestand for Los Angeles that will include matchups against Memphis and the New York Knicks. Los Angeles has won the past three meetings, including an 88-76 victory at Detroit in December. The Pistons have dropped four straight and seven of eight as they prepare to open a four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents. Detroit coach Lawrence Frank has missed the last two games due to personal reasons and no timetable has been given for his return. The Clippers are 6-0 ATS in their last six vs. Eastern Conference foes.
