We will be playing the New York Knicks +5.5 vs. the Philadelphia 76ers today. We’ve made a habit of fading the Sixers of late, and it has proven a profitable one to say the least. For whatever reason, the odds makers and betting public continue to overvalue this Philadelphia team, despite how awful they continue to play.

Yes the 76ers started the season in tremendous fashion, but they are on a precipitous decline in recent weeks. As a matter of fact, Philadelphia is 4-12 straight up their last 16 games and has now dropped 7 of their last 8 overall. Included in all of this mess is a 2-13 ATS mark their last 15 overall!!! Ouch.

While New York is just 12-20 straight up, they have been quietly cashing tickets all season long. As a matter of fact, the Knicks are 19-13 ATS this season and are a perfect 6-0 ATS their last 6 overall.

All in all, a 76ers team that has lost 12 of their last 16 games should not be favored by this many over anybody. We will look for the upset and even if New York does not win outright, they should easily stay under this number. Consider that their last 3 losses came by a combined 8 points and were against playoff caliber Orlando, Indiana and Portland.
