The 4 teams left are exactly who I said would be playing today.
And I hope that when today is finished we will see the two teams I think will be playing for a SB title in a couple weeks.
Patriots -8
Better team, best QB, solid running game, improved Defense.
Hard to imagine that NE is still fucking good, but they are very good. They don't have to rely on Tom Brady alone anymore, this team can flat run the rock and can play defense too. Might be one of the best Patriot teams in recent history. IMO.
I know these teams have a history of tight games vs one another, but I don't see that today.
I see an old porous Ravens defense that will be shredded today and exposed for its age and its lack of ability to stop the run. Once the Pats start pounding the ball between the tackles it will open up the deep ball for Brady. Not that he needs much opening from any D to throw all over them.
Always a chance for a back door cover when laying a large number, and there is little doubt in my mind that by the mid 3rd quarter the Ravens will have abandoned running Ray Rice and will be resting any chance they have on Joe Flacco's arm. Good luck with that! I'll bet that he is the Joe Flacco we all have grown to love, 3 INT's 1 TD and a fumble.
I see a 31- 13 type of game with the Pats on cruise control in the 3rd quarter.
Falcons +5 big play
The dirty birds were in full normal choke mode last week after squandering a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter until Matty Ice coolly directs a game winning drive. I was actually impressed!
That drive impressed me and convinced me that this team and this QB aren't the same old choking, spineless Falcons of years past.
The other side of the ball:
Since when is Mr Kapernick Steve Young??
The dude is 2-2 on the road, 59% completions on the road and only has rushed for 160 yards on 29 attempts. He's a rookie too making a trip across the country to a hostile enviroment one week after EVERYONE in the nation has slobbed his knob like he is the next................ Well the next Tom Brady.
He isn't, he won't duplicate last weeks performance, and the Niners won't be the next offensive juggernaut in the NFL.
The Niners are a front runner, they want to punch you in the mouth on Defense and jump to the lead. To beat them you just need to get in front, score on them and make them play catch up and it's a different football game.
Atlanta will have an answer today for Mr K and his 2-2 road record, (7 TD's 3 interceptions and 1 fumble, on the road). Like I said, not ready to anoint him Steve Young status just yet. I'll put my trust in Matty and his home record versus a QB with 7-8 starts and Matty getting 5 points all day. The birds can choke this one away too, they just have to choke it away by 4 or less to get you paid!
One more thing
You going to trust laying 5 points on the road with David Akers???
He likely will miss at least one FG, maybe 2.
Good luck today fellas, this should be fun!!!
