I won Monday night with SMU (45-point cover) to go 2-0 on bowls. Time for my biggest CFB play:
Thursday:
4* College Football Game of the Year Duke +7 1/2 (-120)
1) This is a great situational spot going against a Cincy team whose coach has quit and on a Duke team playing its first bowl game in 18 years. Which team do you think cares about this game?
2) Duke QB Renfree makes his final start and had an excellent season which negates Cincy's strength, its pass defense.
3) Cincinnati is overrated coming out of the awful Big East (worse league than the Sun Belt this year) while Duke played in the much tougher ACC.
4) Monster coaching edge to Duke. David Cutcliffe is one of the best offensive minds around while Cincinnati's Steve Stripling is leaving after the game to join Butch Jones at Tennessee. New coach Tuberville isn't keeping much of the current staff which is obviously distracted.
5) Duke is playing close to home in Charlotte.
6) The line is right; we get a dog I think wins straight up.
