2nd and 10...Run Up The Middle

This is why I bet against Fulmer with such regularity. He thinks like a Pro coach. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but it has become chic (especially in the Pros) for teams to run up the middle when it's 2nd and 10. The thinking is if you can get 3 yards, it's more manageable at 3rd and 7 than 3rd and 10. That's why coaches fail. They always look to play super duper conservatively, and the guy fumbles.

I noticed that a lot of coaches throw on fist down and if it's incomplete, you have a lock that the second down play will be a run. comes in like clockwork. Amazing, how the thinking is that the defense is looking for a pass on second and 10. Funny thing about it, is that the defense amost always stuffs te second down running play.
