  • Sour Grapes!

I got my fanny wacked yesterday following all the services with Goy's, including Big AL. From what I see, I was not alone. I got cought up in all the emotion and picks that were laid out here
    by all the great cappers.
I am as mad as hell about the results, however, Im mad at myself, not the services. I chose to take that route and
pound all the goy service plays. I chose
to jump on Big Al's band wagon and Root's Goy. I have no one to blame but
myself, because Im the one who made that decision.
Their are no locks!! Everybody hits hot
streaks and cold streaks. It just so happens that every capper I decided to
follow yesterday had bad days. They did
not put a gun to my head.
Be accountable for your own actions!
    Good luck in the future.

Right on!! I feel the same way. Every game I play I lose and every pass I make, I lose. May be I can influence the entire football thing by my bets.

        To Patriot

This is the first year I have been betting and I learned real fast
about 2 weeks what lying frauds all these handicappers are.
Most handicappers are just con men that know people what
someone to tell them what to do. I do not understand why
people think anyone can know who will win any game as these
so called handicappers have proven they cannot. I am sure
none of them even spend one second handicapping any game
as they just pick whatever team pops into their head. They
all know it is a percentage game and they will all be 50% no
matter what well of course every man or women will go 50%
which is nothing. What blows my mind is that it takes everyone
so long to understand this. Everyone needs to pick their own
games. To give you a exmple at least 40 handicappers picked
Purdue yesterday so just think how many people lost on that
        pick alone.

SO TO EVERYONE PLEASE STOP LISTENING TO THEM AS THEY
ARE ALL LIARS AND CON MEN!!

          SWRadio-Well said.
I have been following sports services since they came into existence over 25 years ago and would be anything that there are VERY few who over the time they have been in existence would show you a profit if you played all of their games on their star rated systems if you factored in the cost of purchasing the plays.
Obviously, some of services have had great days, great weeks and even great years, and some might have been lucky and cashed in.
That being said, in my opinion and as many have stated, there are quite a few cappers who post here(Memphis Mafia, EZ, )whose record over any extended period of time would at least equal if not surpass those of best services out there and best of all for NOTHING.(as are most of the paid cappers are for that matter, as picks are posted in service section).
Big Al, Mark Lawrence, etc. in spite of all the hype of how great they have been, are no better than anyone else, and I am not just saying that because they lost their big plays yesterday.
If anyone can show me a service which has been profitable from the time when they commenced operations when costs are figured in, I would love to see documentation of this.
The services which do well are the ones with best and most believeable marketing such as Northcoast, Feist and his crew, etc.) Just my two cents worth.

            well said

Have been hot lately, but felt the same emotion and loaded up on New Year's games - with a very poor result. Leave emotion out of it - games on New years bowl games are no different from games on any other day. Experienced players (such as Wiz and others) aren't swayed by their BOWL GOY crap. Better to just fade them all.

Very well said Parrot. It just reiterates what I have been trying to tell people. We are all big boys and girls.

Savage, if you have been following my recommeded plays which is a service consensus of the 5 services, it has made money every year all 5 years I have had it. This year College was 34-29-3 and the bowls are 6-2. NFL is 46-31-2. My problem is that I somehow can't limit myself to playing just those plays. I love the action. The main thing is to bet within your means, which I also learned the hard way years ago. I now realize it's just as much fun to bet small wagers as it was to bet $1-3,000 on a game. A lot less nerve racking as well.

That being said, I can't wait for todays service plays
You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning

                  Parrot,

The only thing these services are good for is to FADE. Fiest and Root both went 1-3 Wednesday and 0-3 and 2-3 respectively yesterday with both being on WVA,Purdue, and Mich (Fiest GOY). Lenny Stevens is pretty bad too just remember SERVICE PLAY+ FADE =$$$.

                    Phil Jr.
You are abolutely right. If you can discipline yourself to play ONLY what each service has proven to be good in-e.g. your "father's" 5 star picks and nothing else, you will do ok.
Like you say there are very few (not me) who have that discipline.
I guess most of us like a lot of action going even if the amounts are small on some of those games, and the law of averages can catch up to you unless you are someone like Memphis Mafia who can amazing hit at such a high percentage playing a high volume of games.
I must admit that I am somewhere in between playing just a few games and a lot(I think I would have to change my style if I bet as many games as Memphia, as I frankly would be too nervous trying to get updated scores on so many games;I frankly don't have quite the temperament for that, and that is the only reason why I simply don't play every one of her games).
If I could simply treat her picks like a long term investment like in the stock market and not worry about the day to day fluctuations of winning and losing, that is what I would do;theory is not reality however.
By the way Phil you do a great job and yor take is one of first places I go.
