BOL WAYNE!! Lets knock em out of the Park tonite.

BTW Im in Texas and I love my shitty Astros and of course I root for the Rangers. IMO I think your Sox woud make a BIG RUN at Hamilton this off season. I would be interested in your thoughts on the Red Sox this offseason as they shiped all their Big name bats to the Dodgers. They have to go out and get a BIG BAT or two dont they?

      Thanks bud!

I listen to WEEI Boston all day every day buddy. I can tell you this, I havn't heard one person that wants Hamilton. Not a caller or anybody in the Media. Nobody. He is too old for a long term deal and the risk with his issues is simply too much to take a chance on. Everyone thinks he is a GREAT player but he isn't under 30 years old and his past history leaves a ton of doubt in everyone's mind. I think somehow someway he stays there.

The other big free agent is Greinke and NOBODY wants him either. Nobody thinks his makeup would work in the media pressure cooker here. Just not a good fit.

Their payroll was 190 million to start this season and they say it may only be 130-150 million in 2013. Largely because there simply are not many very good high ticket free agents out there. There are 2 of them, that's it.

Names i keep hearing for Boston are BJ and/or Justin Upton via free agency or trade. Been hearing those 2 names for years up here, mainly Justin Upton but now that BJ is a free agent ... you never know. The other name i have heard a LOT lately is a Tim Lincecum for Jacoby Ellsbury trade. Lincecum seems expendable in SF and the Giants would love to have Ellsbury replace Melky Cabrera in the OF next year. Ellsbury has one year left on his deal for cheap money and SF could ride it out and decide what to do at the end of next season with him. It is a trade that seems too perfect for both teams so it probably will never happen.
