So I tell my good friend (novice gambler) about this site and advise him to pay attention to some of the cappers and pay attention to what they do.............so he sends this email saying that some service called 'panther sports' had their NBA GAME OF THE MONTH on Minnesota (-13) vs. chicago............after laughing for a while because although i am terrible at the NBA, I am going to guess i would never have a -13 in that sport as a game of the month::

1)never trust any service whose game of the month is the last day of the month,

2)never trust any service whose game of the year is the last weekend of the year

personally, from what i have seen on this site, i am convinced that the veterans could go head to head with any of these idiotic services...........

Sports Services ...

where should one start:

Numerous different services under one roof ....
famous for double siding the country and having one
of their sister companies call ya the next day bragging
about how they had the other side of the play you
lost on the previous day

Famous question they normally ask within 2-3 questions:

"How much do ya play per game?" Reason that question is
asked is to decide how much to charge you .... the std reply
is when cornered: "I want to see how much I can win for you .."

Funny how you get these rotation schedules and inside you
will see ads for their GAME OF THE MONTH .... hmm, funny since
most mags have deadlines 2-3 months out, makes ya wonder
how they could know that far in advance this would be the Play
of the Month??

Jim Feist ... the man DOES NOT even wager on football personally .. yet folks are taking advice from a man who does not
invest on his plays that he releases to suckers??

The winning % on average for sports services nationally falls
under 50% ... throw in what ya pay these clowns for their
"Inside Info" from the Gold Sheet and ya have to be a complete
airhead to send ANY money to ANY sports service

Good post, and as a long term follower of the various services, I agree with you 100%.
I am convinced that guys under one roof like Feist, Cokin, Spritzer, etc. actually sit down and decide who gives out what to ensure that someone of cappers will win and thus be able to brag then next day and hope some desperate sucker will call or sign up.
Last I heard Feist had plenty of money,a lot of it made from his service and from his online porn sites;why should he bet?
I found it interesting that on Monday one of cappers of the Big Green Machine had a 20 million star game which lost(Michigan State), while another capper, who is a member of the group, had a 100 million star lock on Nebraska(a winner).
If services like this really consider themselves and their picks an investment, then how can a wouldbe consumer want to invest in a firm whose opinions are totally inconsistent with one another?
ps in all due respect to Mike Schmidt, from what I have seen in my limited experience re: Panther Sports, they are nothing more than a flash in the pan which got lucky for a season and as someone stated Phil Steele loves to tout them.
Tonight's disastrous pick on Minn. shows how dumb their thinking is;I had the same experience the two times I called when they had their so called Game of the Something and bioth big plays lost.
As stated also, to have a dumb broad(sorry ladies, that is what she was) giving out the picks in a sexy voice with no explanation for the selections shows how desperate and unknown these guys are.

panther sports sucks

I felt sorry for my friend............I can justify a lot of reasons for wagering on games, but how can anyone give 13 points in the nba in the middle of the season as a game of the month??? that proves they are idiots.............

i did not know phil steele hypes them up, and maybe they did well for a season or 2, hell even i think i have won 1 or 2 seasons betting on the nba (out of 15), but i bet their game of the month is always the last day or so with other 5 or 10 or 20 star picks in between.......

i will not bash them too badly b/c admittedly, i know nothing about them, but my stupid friend was all excited b/c of this, even worse i find out he teased minnesota down to 8 with 6 other teams and now the idiot can't really bet a lot of bowl games......

it is just frustrating these services, but hey, if they make money on their bs, you gotta give them some credit
