Futures!!!!!!!!

I can't seem to stop posting today, but i am seeking some good opinions here...........although i play mostly college football and college basketball, my main wagering interest is in futures.....i probably make 2-6 future bets per sport every season and usually do fairly well.........

with that said, i made 2 future bets in college basketball and am seeking opinions from anyone::

1)large wager on kentucky to win the SEC east at 11-10
2)average size wager on wisconsin to win the big 10 at 7-1

let me say that my normal futures bets are on over/under wins because most of the pari-mutuel type bets are bad wagers.........

nfl, i had st. louis over 9.5 wins and miami over 9.5 wins
nhl, i have nashville under 76.5 points ( i am gonna lose this one)and coyotes under 79.5 points (and maybe this one)

Thanks ............. i still think you have an Ok shot with the eagles because the rest of the NFC (sans st. louis) is pretty bad......

as far as futures go, most people do not play them because the thought of giving a book your money and knowing you may not see it for 6-8 months is not appealing to most, but the flip side is wonderful..........after about 3 weeks, you forgot the money you spent and when you are getting it back, it feels like a lot more than it is

the ones that suck are the ones like my dolphins over 9 1/2 wins, b/c now they have 9 and i sit here with these options::1)do not bet the game this weekend, 2)hedge it with a money line bet, or 3)go for the middle and take the jets +4............

I was able to win an NFL Under 9 on the NY Jets. After Pennington got hurt SIA had the o/u at 9.5 so I opened up an account there just to play that and Carolina Over 7 (others had it 7.5).

SIA just credited my account Tuesday, which is weird since they did not wait till next week when the season ends. Why didn't they credit my account about 3 weeks ago?

Nice job, i ran to my computer the second vick got hurt to bet the falcons under but chickened out b/c i was not sure how long he was going to be out..........after that time, my book got smart and took the over/under's down during the pre-season games

most books will not pay out until the end of the season, so the fact that you already got paid surprises me.........i have not been paid on my rams over yet.........it is conflicting theories-->some books will keep your money until the end of the season b/c they are making $$ on it, but some pay you instantly in the hopes that you start betting with it again

sadly enough , 9/11 made it so 90% of the books out there will not pay until the end of a season b/c most books require that a full season be played for the bets to count.......i believe baseball counts in 159 or more games are played......obviously , shorter season like nfl and ncaaf , the entire season must be played
