            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pick 'n' roll: Tuesday's best NBA bets
            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oklahoma City Thunder at Memphis Grizzlies (3.5, 193)

Oklahoma City pulled off its own brand of a three-peat Sunday night, becoming the first team in the NBA this season to win on three consecutive nights with a 108-96 victory over San Antonio.

The Thunder will try to make it four in a row Tuesday night when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies, who open a four-game homestand. Oklahoma City is first in the Western Conference.

“You were hoping that you could win them all,” Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks said. “Fortunately for us, we did.”

The Grizzlies probably can’t wait to get back home after falling to 1-4 on the road with a 90-82 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

The Grizzlies are 2-2 straight up and against the spread since Zach Randolph went out with a partially torn ligament in his right knee on New Year’s Day, an injury expected to keep him out eight weeks.

That will prove to be a big loss in this one.

            Pick: Thunder

Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers (-7.5, 188.5)

The Phoenix Suns and defense usually are not used in the same thought, but suddenly the Suns have become a defensive team. They are allowing just 91.5 points, which would set a franchise record.

The Suns also got back to .500 and will try to snap the Los Angeles Lakers’ six-game home winning streak Tuesday night at the Staples Center. The Suns scored a season-high total in a 109-93 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday. That victory gave Phoenix its 24th consecutive home win over the Bucks.

“We are making open shots,” Steve Nash said. “We are also getting a little better pace and tempo throughout the game, a little bit of cohesion.”

Even still the under has cashed in seven of the Suns' last nine and in seven of Los Angeles' last 10.

            Pick: Under

Game of the day: Baylor at Kansas State
                    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Baylor Bears at Kansas State Wildcats (-3, 133)

                    THE STORY
: Kansas State had no trouble disposing of unbeaten Missouri 75-59 on Saturday. Now, the No. 18 Wildcats will try to take down yet another unbeaten when No. 4 Baylor visits. The Bears, who are coming off a 73-60 victory over Texas Tech, are off to the best start in school history. Baylor has won 12 of its games by double figures, but has also had a knack for pulling out the close ones, winning three games by three or less. Kansas State has won three straight in the series.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, ESPN3.com, ESPN Full Court

LINE: Kansas State opened as a 2-point home favorite and has been bet up to -3. The total opened at 131.5 and has climbed to 133.

ABOUT BAYLOR (15-0, 2-0 Big 12, 4-4 ATS): It is always somebody different for Baylor, which shook off a sluggish start to defeat the Red Raiders. This time it was Pierre Jackson, who had a team-high 19 points - including eight in a five-minute stretch to open the second half - as the Bears extended their winning streak to a school-record 15 games. Baylor is one of only three Big 12 teams to open conference play 2-0 along with Iowa State and Kansas. However, three of the Bears’ next four games will come against ranked opponents.

ABOUT KANSAS STATE (12-2, 1-1 Big 12, 6-4 ATS): The Wildcats bounced back in a big way from their disappointing 67-49 loss at Kansas, defeating Missouri at home for the eighth straight time. Kansas State stormed out to a 19-point halftime lead behind Rodney McGruder, who had a game-high 20 points. Will Spradling had 14 and Jordan Henriquez added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats, who were picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 coaches preseason poll. Kansas State has won three of the last five meetings against Baylor at home.

                    TRENDS:

                    * Home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
                    * Underdog is 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
                    * Bears are 0-5 ATS in their last five vs. Big 12.
                    * Wildcats are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games.

                    TIP-INS:

                    1. Baylor is one of only three remaining unbeaten teams, along with Syracuse and Murray State.

                    2. The Bears have won 41 games on the road or at neutral courts over the last five years, and are 6-0 this year.

                    3. Kansas State is 7-0 at Bramlage Coliseum.
