        NEW ORLEANS BOWL
        North Texas vs. Memphis
        Location: New Orleans, La.
        Dec. 16, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. ET
        ESPN2
        Line: Memphis -4.5 O/U 49
        WISEGUY SELECTION
North Texas is very sound Defensively and makes you earn the field...they dont take alot of chances and have a bend but dont break philosophy..
This is a good fit against a Memphis team who lived off the big play..and with their 2 top guns hurting/not playing, they may be forced into a more conservative style of play and a field position game with NT...
Memphis rush defense has been GREAT....They held their last 4 opponents to Under 60 yards rushing in each game..And this is what NT makes its living doing..
North Texas has the experience edge, but, Memphis played in the better Conference and was one of the hottest teams in the nation the second half of the season..
Memphis will be without the services of C-USA Player of the Year, RB, D'Angelo Williams...
Everything is setting up nicely for an Under play...just need to keep the TO's at a minimum and NO easy ST TD's....and It could be an easy one.

        OFFICIAL GAME SELECTION:
UNDER 48(down to 45.5)...4 Units *Winner*

        GMAC BOWL
        Louisville vs. Miami (Ohio) (15)
        Location: Mobile, Ala.
        Dec. 18, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. ET
        ESPN2
        Line: Miami (O) -14 O/U 70

This should be a very entertaining game tonight with two of the nations best offenses going at it..
Miami comes in 14 pt favs over Conference USA's Louisville Cardinal,...That line seems just a bit high IMO.. They have had One common opponent this year, Cincinatti, and Miami did much better, winning comfortably despite the score(late scores by Cincy).
Louisvilles offense has kept them in just about every game this year, so playing score for score is not new to them...Thats what they'll have to do to have any shot at this one..If not, they'll get blown out..
The Side looks like a tough call...My numbers favor Miami by 20 Points, but, I dont agree, Louisville has had some Impressive wins and has probally played a little tougher competition...Plus, i give them the motivation edge here as the big dog and because of last seasons BAD Bowl performance against Marshall.
So, no play on the Side...however, i do like this game to be a track meet and see this game in the high 70's..low 80"s...just not enough defense on either side to keep this one Under that number...

        OFFICIAL GAME SELECTION:
OVER 69(up to 71)...3 Units *Winner*

        TANGERINE BOWL
        Kansas vs. North Carolina State
        Location: Orlando, Fla.
        Dec. 22, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. ET
        ESPN
        Line: NC St -12 O/U 64
        WISEGUY SELECTION
Big12 against the ACC in this match-up...Big talent advantage to NC St over Kansas in this one and In a perfect world they probally win this one by 21-24..easy.
However, a Teams frame of mind for these Bowl games carries more weight than it does during the regular season..It tough to gauge NCSt right now, they were thinking BCS at the start of the season and now they get 6-5 Kansas who lost 4 of their last 5.
Whittmore can light it up for Kansas, they are 5-2 ATS under him and 0-4 without him, so I look for him/KU to have success. And i also look for Rivers and a healthy McClendon to put up some big numbers as well.
Tough call on the side IMO, I can see state up 14 late with KU driving..I think the better play is on the Over 64.

        OFFICIAL GAME SELECTION:
        OVER 64...3 Units *Winner*

        FORT WORTH BOWL
Boise State (16) vs. TCU (19)
        Location: Fort Worth, Texas

        ESPN
        Line: Boise St -10 O/U 60

This is a really difficult game to handicapp. Boise St has been one of the best ATS teams in the Nation the past 3 years and have played great ball this season.
TCU was just 1 win away from a BCS game. The big question is will they be motivated...?
If their NOT, Boise St could beat them by 40...and If they are, they stand a good shot to cover.
To much hesitation for me to comfortably make a selection..lots of games left

        LAS VEGAS BOWL
        New Mexico vs. Oregon St.
        Location: Las Vegas, Nev.
        Dec. 24, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. ET
        ESPN
        Line: Oregon St -2.5 O/U 52
        WISEGUY SELECTION
Rocky Long has done a great job @ New Mexico taking them to back to back Bowl games the past 2 seasons..Alot of experienced starters who lost this Bowl last year will want to make amends this year and finish off the season with the win.
These teams seem to be pretty even on paper, Oregon with the better offense and NM with the better Defense.. However, I give a BIG motivational edge to the Lobos in this one.
NM comes in strong winning 7 of their last 8 games while Oregon St backed in losing their last 2 and 4 of their last 6..
Two teams that were headed In opposite directions to end the season....and I'll go with the hot team who plays better Defense..

        New Mexico +2...7 Units

markm11, I wouldn't play Big Al's selection for tonight as a 5*. He didn't release this game as part of his bowl package, that he released about 10 days ago. All services are marketing first, then handicappers. Let's face it! He's releasing this game as a 5* because he'll get more buyers.

For those who've missed his bowl package selections:

              5* TCU Dec 23 7:30
              5* Minnesota Dec 31 2:00
              5* Arkansas Dec 31 7:30
              4* Florida Jan 1 11:00
              5* GOY W. Virginia Jan 1 12:30
              5* Oklahoma St. Jan 2 2:00
              4* Ohio St. Jan 2 8:00
              3* Tulsa Jan 3 12:00

                    Big Al's College Bowl Package

Frankb -- As a subscriber to Big Al over the last three years I can tell you that he has never released ALL of his College Bowl plays at once.

If you sign up you are given a phone number and told when the next update will be. There is at least one update over the course of bowl season with several additional plays and/or changes in star ratings of previously released games. So I would presume that tonight's game is part of that update, which goes to all bowl package subscribers, not just marketed to single game buyers.

I can personally vouch that his record is what he claims. I wouldn't touch his regular season NFL or MLB, but his College Bowls, NFL playoffs and March Madness are solid gold.

                    Good luck,
                    "Mike"

ONE-AND-ONLY 20* COLLEGE GAME OF THE YEAR Houston-Hawaii

                          DAYTON SERVICE

Their One-And-Only 20* Game of the Year is on Houston to stay within the points at Hawaii in the Aloha Bowl.

They acknowledge Houston is awful defensively, allowing 35 points a game, but they also point out Hawaii isn't much better, as the host Rainbows yield 29 an outing.

Points will be put up on the board, but they prefer a more balanced Houston offensive attack when grabbing the dog. They note the Cougars will attack both through the air with Kevin Kolb (2,799 yards, 23 TDs) and on the ground (220 ypg average, 4.5 ypc).

On the other hand, Hawaii is a one-dimensionl passing team, and they don't like how coach June Jones yanked interception-prone Tim Chang out of the second-to-last game of the season in place of seldom-used senior Jason Whieldon, who then started the season finale.

                          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7* BOWL MISMATCH OF THE YEAR

                          PORTLAND SERVICE

Their 7* College Bowl Mismatch of the Year is for New Mexico to beat Oregon State by a field goal in the Las Vegas Bowl.

They feel the Lobos are a far better team than last year's edition which fell in this same bowl against UCLA as three turnovers cost them 17 points against a Bruins' team that was thorougly outplayed.

They point out New Mexico has won seven of its last eight SU, and six of seven versus the oddsmakers, and arrives with an underrated defense and balanced offensive attack.

As for Oregon State, they note the Beavers couldn't have ended the regular season in any worse fashion as they fell by 14 in their annual Civil War clash with arch-rival Oregon, and then got destroyed in their season finale at Southern Cal by a 52-28 count.

                          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HARTFORD SERVICE BOWL TOTAL OF THE YEAR

                          HARTFORD SERVICE

Their College Bowl Total of the Year is on Houston-Hawaii to go over in the Aloha Bowl with around 86 points to be scored.

They also have a top-rated triple play on Oregon State-New Mexico to stay under in the Las Vegas Bowl with around 31 points to be scored.
