  • NBA Futures Plays

    NBA YTD 0-0

I like three futures plays on total wins. The top two will be *-plays counted in my season record. I'll throw the third out as an opinion.

    2* T-wolves OVER 24
Minnesota reminds me of OKC three years ago. They played tough and kept losing and broke out the following year as Durant elevated his game and got better players around him. Kevin Love is a truly great player and finally gets a solid coach after being saddled with awful coaching the last few years. My only concern with this play is that Love could be traded mid-season if Minnesota isn't in playoff contention (may be free agent at end of year).

    1* Pistons UNDER 23
An awful team of veteran malcontents, young players who aren't very good and an awful coach who somehow wasn't fired after last year's mess.

    Opinion only:
    Bucks OVER 32 1/2
There's a lot of talent here and the two locker room cancers of last year (Salmons and Maggette) are gone. Stephen Jackson, Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings make a solid core. Jennings is in his contract year and needs this team to play together for him to be able to get out and get a payday. The only negative is the team's schedule is awful with the bulk of the home games at the end of the year. If they are withing six games of .500 by Feb. 25, they'll soar. I rate them the sixth best team in the east

      One correction

The pistons coach was fired; Laurence frank is there now. They still stink.
