  • CFB Fri-Sat

    CFB YTD 9-11 -1.1 units
    2* 2-0 +4.0 units
    1* 7-11 -5.1 units
    CFB/NFL Combined 18-21 -3.25 units
    2* 3-1 +3.8 units
    1* 15-20 -7.05 units

I'm rallying after a poor start in football. I went 3-1 last week in CFB, including 2-0 on 2* plays and then went 2-1 in the NFL.

    Friday:
    1* Colorado +21 1/2
This is an ugly pick as Colorado has shown no offense under new coach Jon Embree. But this is a huge letdown spot for USC after the incredibly tough home loss to unbeaten Stanford. They now travel, to altitude, on a short week and with no bowl game possible, they have literally nothing to play for here.

    Saturday:
    2* Hawaii -3 (-120)
Utah State's psyche may be shot. They're 2-5 but all five losses were by five points or less. This is a real tough spot for them, travelling to meet a Hawaii team with a great pass attack. Utah State has a poor pass defense and falls apart in the fourth quarter. Hawaii by 17.

    1* Wyoming +18 1/2
Another big dog here. But Wyoming is very underrated. They're now 5-2 and come home after a very good road win at San Diego State. TCU is having a decent enough year after major graduation losses from last year's great team but this line is inflated.

    1* Iowa +4
Michigan is a very misleading 7-1 as the only good team they've beaten is Notre Dame. I look for a big rebound effort from Iowa, which has a good offense, and was humiliated last week by lowly Minnesota.

    1* San Diego State -34 1/2
New Mexico can't score. They have seven points in the last three weeks combined. San Diego State is good enough but the angle behind this pick is that SD St Coach Rocky Long was fired by New Mexico, a terrible move that led to the putrid level of the program now. Long has every reason to run up the score and humiliate the team that canned him despite ten succesful years. New Mexico is 2-28 since firing Long!

    NFL:
    (playing now at these lines)
    1* Bills -1 1/2
    1* Patriots -8 1/2
