Kaptains Tuesday Night CFB Take
301 FIU and 302 Ark St......Line is Ark St -3/52 1/2......
Both team avg about 28 ppg, and yield about 21 ppg...........even
Both have 4-2 records and played similar SOS with a slight edge to ASU.......edge ASU
RB for FIU Rhodes and Perry slightly better than ASU.....edge FIU
QB Carol for FIU 6 TDs, and only 2 INT's........good ball control.....QB Asplin for Ark St hitting 66 % completions, 274 ypg, but has had some inconsistencies 6 TD's, 8 INT's.....edge even, considering FIU runs the ball more...
FIU Defense allowing 106 rush ypg, 3.1 ypc, but allows a lofty 250 ypg in the air.....ASU strong point......Conversely FIU has 46 tackles for losses, and 17 sacks....
ASU allows 122 rush ypg, but haven't faced runners like Rhodes and Perry as mentioned above....they also have 11 takeaways..........even IMO
the 2 notable opponents ASU played, they lost.....Ill 15-33 and Va Tech 7-26, both on the road......Victories were against Weakies Memphis 47-3 (1-5), Div II Cen Ark 53-24, Western Ky 26-22 (1-4), UL Monroe 24-19 (1-4), didn't exactly
blow any one out.....
FIU lost to Louisiana Laf 31-36, LaLaf is (5-1), scrappy lil ball club...also lost to Duke 27-31 (Duke is 3-2).....FIU beat N Tex 41-16, N Tx is 2-4, Beat Louisville 24-17 (2-3), beat UCF 17-10, (3-2), and Akron 27-17 (1-5), also not overly impressive..
Home field advantegs is worth about 3 ppg, and as close as I see this game, thinking the sides and totals are pretty accurate IMO, and the fact that their ppg for and against are averaging 49, I'm gonna make the following play

ust a token 1 unit play.....gl fellows.....lock and load for this week....
