Can somebody tell me why Virginia is only a 3 point favorite over loyola marymount. I am getting ready to unload on this game but something doesn't look right. The way I have it Virginia should be favored by at least 10.

One of the power ratings I use from online has Virginia 78.5 and Loyola 73.5 add point for the home court.

Jeff Sagarin has his at Virginia 78.30. Loyola 73.31 + 4.51 home advantage with Loyola having the tougher schedule.

I am not touching this one, but if I had to, I would take Virginia. UVA's only road game, which they won was against VMI. That might be why the line is where it is, since Vegas is not yet convinced that the Cavaliers are for real. I might agree with that if they were playing a good team, but LMU has the same 5 starters that lost 20 games last year. They may have improved some, and might be playing over their heads so far this season, but I have to go with the more talented ACC team here.

I have to agree I think LMU has played nobody yet and I think this virginia team is a little bit better than people think. We will see what happens tonight.
