Tampa Bay Rays today. The Yankees would love nothing more than to help the RedSox not make the playoffs. They'll bench everyone and pitch only their worst players.

I laid the -250, but you play the RL also, to make it -1. You'll push on a 1 run win.

You might be right about everything but i just don't believe they care if Boston makes the playoffs or if it is Tampa Bay. If they rest everybody, it is simply to rest everybody and give them a couple days off before the playoffs.

They have played most of their regulars in this whole series and if they wanted Boston out that bad, they would not have taken 3 of 4 from Tampa last week. The only game they lost was the one the day after they clinched and had a champagne party. I just don't buy that at all.

For what it's worth, I just read that Price hasn't won at home since July 15th...

I heard they were throwing a kid tonight that throws heat in the mid to upper 90's and Tampa was scrambling to find out more about this kid. I'm not betting it but Tampa would probably rather face one of their regulars that they know well instead of this kid. JMO

I'm not saying up until today they wanted Boston out, but now that there's one more meaningless game, it might cross their mind. Regardless, they're throwing Betances out there who just lasted 2/3 of a inning against TB a few days ago, he's not even close to being ready to pitch the majors, and they already said they'll pitch their callups tonight. TB has their ace on the hill in a must win game. It's as good as it gets.

I also won't be the slightest bit surprised if the RedSox lose, Lester has been terrible lately, and Orioles are playing motivated.

He does throw heat, but he also walked 4 in the first inning and didn't make it out of the first inning against TB a few days ago. He's huge, 6' 7" big body, he'll be alright one day, just not ready. Their other minor league starter Banuelos is better.

Yea, he's not pitching that bad though. He pitched great against the Yankees last time he faced them. We'll see what kind of lineup the Yankees throw out there and if they keep those guys in there for the game.

Matt Moore looked like crap against NY in his 1st appearance too ... then he got a start against them and smoked them for what, 12 K's?

Like i said, you may be right on but ALL the pressure is on Tampa, not NY. I wouldn't be shocked AT ALL if Boston, Atlanta, Tampa and STL lose tonight. Free swinging teams with no pressure. That's what they are all facing.
