Sunday 9/11 NFL Play

Ravens -2' over Steelers. I know everyone thinks this is a homer play but it is more a play on a streak that has been pretty solid over the last 12 years. Since the 1999 Super Bowl, the loser has lost their opening game and has failed to cover 12 straight years. You have to go back to the 1998 Packers to find the Super Bowl loser who covered the opening line the following season. Green Bay lost the SB to Denver but beat the Lions 38-19 to start the new season. Here is how the SB loser started the following season

1. 1999 SB loser was Atlanta. Lost their opener the next year to San Francisco17-14

2. 2000 SB loser was Tennessee. Lost their opener to Buffalo 16-13.

3. 2001 SB loser were the Giants. Lost their opener to Denver 31-20.

4. 2002 SB loser was St. louis. Lost their opener to Denver 23-16

5. 2003 SB loser was Oakland. Lost their opener to Tennessee 25-20

6. 2004. SB loser was Carolina. Lost their opener to Green Bay 24-14

7. 2005 SB loser was Philly. Lost their opener to Atlanta 14-10.

8. 2006 SB loser was Seattle. Lost their opener to Detroit 9-6

9. 2007 SB loser was Da Bears. Lost their opener to San Diego 14-3.

10. 2008 SB loser was New England. Lost their opener to K.C.
17-10

11. 2009 SB loser ws Arizona. Lost their opener to S.F. 20-16

12. 2010 SB loser was the Colts. Lost their opener to Houston 34-24.

In fact since 1994 the SB loser is 3-12-1 ATS and 3-13 SU in their opening game the next season. Will post my other NFL picks in this thread later in the week. Bol to all

I hope you're right! Pittsburg has looked great in preseason while the Ravens....well not so much.

I put no creedence in pre season. The year the Lions went 0-16 they were 4-0 in the pre-season
