  • ALL OU backers get down NOW

An extremely reliable source told me that Matt Mauck has appendicitis and is due for surgery tomorrow morning. anyone knows what the recovery time is? I know he'll have problems with his stamina since he'll lose some weight. any docs out there? LSU backups are the inconsistent marcus randall and redshirt phenom jemarcus russell. defense will need to step it up.

    doesn't even matter

I unloaded on OU when the line came out...........donovan mcnabb could qb LSU and they are not covering this game

however, if your info is correct, a lot of people will thank you b/c the backup in very 1-dimensional

Im not the sharpest of guys and U might be right SHORTY, but do u honestly think LSU has no shot and the line is only 6???? I think VEGAS thinks they have not only a shot to cover but to win the game outright.........Im all over LSU if this line stays stalled at just under 7.........maybe even the ML

        He's fine

this from the newspaper in Baton Rouge this am:

Matt Mauck was at the hospital late Tuesday. Doctors determined he suffered from food poisoning, said LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette.

Mauck felt better Wednesday and will be at practice today as the Tigers return from their 11-day break for final exams, rest and recovery, Bonnette said.

        sorry for the false alarm

I base this entirely on stoops's history, in the past 3 years, oklahoma has won every big game (except 1, at nebraska in 2001) they have played in.............all of their losses came in games they were disinterested in--->the ksu game where they knew they were going to the sugar bowl anyway, 2 okla. states and a texas a& m .......they were not up for any of those games..........they are 3-0 in bowls under stoops, all wins by 7 or more, 2-0 with decisive ****** in bcs bowls..............

i think lsu is a good team, but could have 3 losses and i am not sold on their running game.........the only way to beat OU when OU is up for the game is a multi-dimensional team........do not forget this team scored 50+ on ucla, texas, ok. st, and texas tech.............their special teams is outstanding and now they know they have something to prove, a situation they have not been in since they held chris weinke's powerful fsu offense to 2 points in 2001

i think lsu is clearly the 4th best team of the 'final 4' and will get beaten pretty soundly

i understand what you are saying though, i thought the line would be 13, and when i saw 6, it scared me a little.........

          good luck either way

imo, vegas is banking on people's emotions for this game...everyone is upset oklahoma is playing here as they all wanted to see an lsu/socal matchup...even at only +6, vegas is banking on people betting with their emotions: that okie does not belong here and as a result lsu will take them out...lsu is not chopped liver, but Okie does have a tremendous track record of excelling in "need to have" games...this one clearly fits that criteria...

shorty- They are actually 3-1 in bowl games under Bob Stoops. They lost to Ole Miss in the Independence Bowl.

I like the Sooner as well, but not as strong as some of the others.
