What has happen to the best fourm ??

I never posted much, because I don't know much about capping, but I really enjoyed being a somewhat quiet fly on the wall.

In my opinion Monte, and us members have to try to make the newbies feel more welcome and less fearful of posting.

Ive never seen a forum like this with so many "guests"

When I click on my thread or anyone elses on the bottom where it says current users viewing this thread...its usually says something like " 10 members and 70 guests"

Something has to be done to get these "guests" to register and post.

Maybe some contests , biggers bonuses for offshore deposits , and lastly current members not attacking and running off new posters

Easier said than done, Im sure.

Greek I can promise you that your the only one seeing 70 guest at a time in a thread. That's not a shot at you but your a good capper in each sport and you have a big following. Those guest don't care anything about joining cause they get what they want as a non member cause they just want your plays. But there has to be something we can do to make those guys look elsewhere here at BC and maybe think about joining.

Its not just my threads... I see it in the picture / video threads,, wayne and sparks posts, the political forum..etc

Dino, I think many of those guests ARE members but are not signed in ... I am sure people that do not post here anymore are viewing this forum every day ... I always felt that we should make it where only members can view the forums and they have to be signed in ..

I STILL FEEL LIKE THIS IS THE BEST PLACE ON THE NET FOR MAINLY THE REASON FOR THIS THREAD.YOU CAN TELL A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE VERY VERY LOYAL TO THIS FORUM.EXAMPLE JT AND VOLS AND BRYCE I CAN SEE BOTH OF U YOU ALL COMING UP WITH IDEAS TRYING TO HELP A FORUM THAT U ARE NOT REWARDED FINANCIALLY AT ALL.MEMBERS LIKE THIS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN AT MOST FORUMS BUT HERE THERE ARE A LOT OF US WHO CARE.I FEEL LIKE THERE ARE A LOT OF REASONS WHY WE DON'T GET THE PEOPLE WE USED TO.NOT EVEN 4 MONTHS AGO W3 BROKE THE RECORD FOR MEMBERS ON AT A TIME THAT HAD BEEN THE SAME SINCE 2005.I THINK WE COULD ALL DO A BETTER JOB AT MAKING PEOPLE FEEL.AT HOME.FOR INSTANCE MY.EDGE THREAD WAS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO GET GUESTS TO JOIN.Just like the Kruise we used to have we need a place guest can come in and post without getting put through the 5th degree.Also its hard the newbies feel they have to make outrageous thread titles just to fit in and when they do we slam them.about being arrogant and cocky.I would love to see this forum like it was in the past but its going to have to take us members and the owner to work together.When the site owner is gone for 2 weeks and nobody even knows what happened things like this can't be good for the forum

If you only knew my friend,I have had a lot going on in my life with the death of my Mother and estate issues.It feels like my heart has been ripped out and stomped on,she was my best friend also.I have not had a lot of motivation for some time.But you are right we had a good forum going on and it has slacked off.Hope we all get back in the groove.

All sorry about your loss, lost my mother when i was 24, still don't feel right my friend, my family has fallen apart latley!!!!! My oldest daughter 13 years married going thru a bad divorce her husband spent or should i say pissed away ( 5 ) million dollars in less than 10 years, for me that would be very hard to do. My son wade three years married his wife said she was tired of working and wanted a diveorce, if you don't think this will upset the apple cart. Nita my wife is about crazy. I just work everyday hard as i can, i still love this fourm. Good bless all here.

In all seriousness and first off Money very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in November and it will be 6 months since she has been gone. Very hard indeed and it just takes time to find yourself and try to pick up the pieces. To say the least it will always hurt but as Joe said as time goes by you learn to accept.

Many good points of why people aren't posting. I think it goes deeper than that though. Yes part of it is the time of year. I do my best to try to make people feel welcome here. By saying good luck I think it shows people that you are reading their thread and it's the thing to do IMO. I see some threads where no one says a thing and for some people itbmay really deter them from posting. I also try to congratulate people when they win to encourage them to keep posting. Somedays I see people have a 4-1 day or sweep their plays and no one says anything. If someone takes the time to post and wins I think it is nice to say good job. Some may feel that why waste my time posting if no one notices.
Also I know for a fact that some guys just don't feel welcomed here anymore. Don't know the specifics why.

This is the best board I know of and I hope we get some more action going on in here. Some people here try to start threads for conversation and get minimal replies at times. I wish more people would throw their two cents in. I know everyones time is limited and everyone can't be on here 24-7 like me!

I don't know what the answer is but yes we have lost a lot of very good people.
Hopefully that will change!

You're correct wishing someone gl is better than no one saying anything to that person, because like you said that person will quit posting as they feel that their plays fall on deaf ears.

I appreciate you wishing them gl, to the forum etc.!
