Celtics won three of four vs Miami this season; they're 18-3 in last 21 series games, but Heat are much different this year- only game they won vs Boston this year was 100-77 April 10, when Celtics weren't exactly busting it 100%. Lebron's Cavs were eliminated from playoffs by C's in two of last three playoffs. Neither team was taxed in its first round win. Boston swept the injury-plagued Knicks, Heat beat Philly in five.

                                Sunday's six-pack

-- Predators outshot Vancouver 36-15 in regulation, then scored in the second OT to beat the Canucks and tie the series 1-1. Excellent game.

-- My thought early in second OT; what a great advertisement this is for hockey. Too bad its not on ESPN, where casual fans might see it.

-- Padres are now 10-2 when they score 3+ runs, 0-15 if they don't. Bud Black had hit #3 hitter (Ludwick) bunt with men on first/second with no one in the 8th inning. Padres scored three runs in the inning to win, 5-2.

-- Andre Ethier's hitting streak is now at 26 games; another few days of this and things will start to get pretty interesting for him.

-- Indians are already nine games ahead of Minnesota in the AL Central.

-- Nashville-Vancouver was 16th OT games in playoffs this spring, the game-winning goal has been scored by a forward in all 16 games; none of them have been scored by a defenseman.

Sunday's List of 13: Wrapping up a sports Saturday............

                                13) George Mason lands on its feet, replacing Jim Larranaga with former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt. How long can they keep him if Mason wins big next year? No matter what, Hewitt is a terrific hire.

                                12) If I was making a movie about the Russian mob and I wanted to cast a KGB agent, first person I'd ask is Nashville Predators' coach Barry Trotz.

                                11) Ichiro Suzuki has 2,281 hits for the Mariners; he had 1,278 hits in his nine years playing in Japan, giving him a total of 3,559, depending on if you count the Japanese Leagues as major/minor leagues, or in between. It will be interesting to see how close he gets to Pete Rose's record number. I'm not saying his Japanese hits should count as major league hits, just it will be interesting to see how far over 4,000 hits he can get.

                                10) Rough day for NL third basemen; Pablo Sandoval, Ryan Zimmerman are both out for about six weeks- Sandival broke the hamate bone in his hand; its a torn stomach muscle, or something like that for Zimmerman.

                                9) Former Arizona manager Bob Brenly once made four errors in the same game, then won that game with a walkoff home run. Thats a weird day.

                                8) I wrote this last fall but it bears repeating; the Packers never trailed by more than 7 points in any game last year, regular season or playoffs. It'll be a while for any other team does that.

                                7) Few years back, the NBA's Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis; just a guess here, but if the Canucks lose to Nashville in this playoff series, people in British Columbia will be a lot more aggravated about this loss to the state of Tennessee than they were about the Grizzlies moving.

                                6) Another educated guess: Carl Crawford ain't enjoying this whole Boston thing yet. He's hitting .155 and the Red Sox are in last place.

                                5) Herm Edwards in excellent on TV; enthusiastic and preaching a message thats good for kids to hear. Hope he sticks with it.

                                4) Tough week for umpire Todd Tichenor; he tossed Ozzie Guillen in the first inning Wednesday, then after a bad call he made Saturday, the second base umpire ran Milton Bradley for arguing. Bradley, who has some severe anger management issues, actually got tossed while standing on second base, arguing a call made at first base while he was running to second. How could he possibly have seen the play?

                                3) Rams' drafted Boise State WR Austin Pettis; he is the nephew of Gary Pettis, who played major league baseball for eleven years.

                                2) Pitchers get credit for unearned runs when they give up a run because of a fielding error; shouldn't we keep track of how runs they're saved when a fielder makes a great play?

                                1) There is nothing in sports like overtime in an NHL playoff game.
