  • Monday stock market rally.

Capture of Saddam signals victory in Iraq and the beginning of mid-east stabilty with resolution of Israeli-Arab conflict within a few years.

Stability in the mid-east bodes well for the economic stability of the world's economy, realtive to mid-east instability over the next decade.

What Bush didn't tell us, because no one would have accepted it, is that the Iraqi was essentially all about mid-east stability and economic stability , not only for the U.S., but for the world. The few lives lost in this conflict pale relative to the many lives spared over the next decade. Saddam killed millions of people, and this has ended. Terrorist activity will die out to an insignificant level over the next five years. Economic stability is much increased. To those who suffered from the Iraqi war, more future suffering has been eliminated.

Look for a stock market rally Monday AM - time for you investors to sell some of your losers into the rally.

      Art:

      terrorist activity will decrease?

We are @ war with the Islamic community ....

sorry, look for the increase as we are fighting a foe that
has no fears are much more devoted to their cause

Sorry, disagree with that view as this fight is just
      beginning

We are not now, nor have we ever been, at war with the Islamic community.

We are at war with a fringe criminal element of terorists who use Islam to justify their murder. Their number is fast dwindling, and they wil continure to be marginalized to a greater extent in the future.

For my money it doesn't matter what your political views are;capturing Saddam to me equates with capturing/killing Hitler.
There is very little diference if any between the two.

I would include the invaders of Israel, over the years, in this group. We have supported the defense of Israel against unjustified aggresion. To say this consitutes a war against Islam shows psychotic thought processes.

                    you a funny man!

Bush is now telling Israel that a "Palestinian state" would be
                    good deal for them?

We are cramming this "Road Map to Disaster" right down their
throats ... I guess no different than the way we orchastrated
the Israeli elections of 1992 and the Idiotic acceptance of giving
                    up land for Peace ??

Bush will not negotiate with terrorists? Funny how the good
ol USA bends over and kisses the ass of the biggest terrorist
                    threat in the entire world?

Sorry, we are fighting a war the USA will not win ... we are watching history unfold with the rebuilding of Iraq and the rise to power of the EU ... 2004 will be a historical year with ongoing devolpments that are taking place

Your lack of understanding of diplomacy and world politics is appalling.

Bush is trying to appease the Arabs while supporting Israel, as should be down. He publically is urging Israel to stop wall and settlement building, while secretly acknowledging Israel's right to do this. This is as he should do.

Arafat has never wanted a Palestinian state as long as Israel continues to exist. His primary goal is to destroy Israel. We are waiting for the criminal Arafat to die, then Israel will establish a Palestinian state on Israeli terrority, unless Arafat will agree to this while he is still alive.

There has never been a Palestian state, and the Pallestinians are not on their own land - they are on Israeli land rightfully captured from Arabs after the Arabs unjstifiably invaded Israel. Such land acquired in war has always been recognized as legally acquired.

It is up to Israel to give some of their land away to the Arabs. They are willing to do so in return for security against unjustified criminal aggression. So far the Arabs have not been willing to give Israel such security.

You obviously would want to destroy all of Israel.

Really? Pal, get real .... this is land captured in the 1967 War ...
why do ya think Rabin was shot / killed by an Israeli in November of 1995?? His backing of UN Resolution 242 is a big reason why ...

Israel does not have to give any land .... no more than the USA should be forced to give back Texas to the Mexicans ...

I am disgusted when I hear folks like yourself use that rhetoric that Israel should be forced to give up anything ....

I agree with you that Israel should not be forced to give captured land to establish a Palestinian state.

They are willing to do this voluntarily in return for security agreements with the Arabs, which the Arabs continue to decline to give.

It is the unreasonable Arab insistence that that Israel be destroyed before anything else, that is the cause of mid-east troubles.

Not so sure on that prediction.

If this happened closer to the actual invasion it would have that effect, but the problems we are having arent due to Saddam.

I would be careful buying into the open...I would actually sell any big move..we shall see what the big boys do since the problems are still going to be there even with Saddam caught..

Now if we had news of 100x oil production from Iraq, that would be a different thing..
