Although Matsuzaka is 6-1 career vs the BJ 's Mats is not the same dude. In 14 innings this year he has 4 k's and 5 BB.
He is also sporting a 12+era. He has control issues and I believe he gets tko'd in the first 4 innings in this one and gets demoted to the minors. I have no idea but I don't know how long Boston could keep him in this rotation if he gets shellacked tomorrow. Romero is an above average pitcher as well.

One last thing don't want to mislead anyone. Romero doesn't have a great track record vs. Boston. This is why I am liking over as well.. Just hoping to get 9 on the over under

It was scheduled! Get out of town game. Boston plays tomorrow in Oakland. The total for the game is 9-1/2 Even.

It was scheduled. Maybe because this is the last day to file taxes and the players wanted time to file their taxes after the game. I think the Boston marathon is today as well but I dont know if that would matter. Yes 11:05 is an odd time.

The only other thing I can think of it Boston heads out to the west coast for a road trip with Oakland? Again that shouldn't matter. Why not 12:05?? anyone?

The reason the game is a morning game is that besides the fact that the Boston Marathon is today, it is Patriots Day(a holiday in Mass which has nothing to do with the NE Patriots); for as long as I can recall going back a zillion years, there has ALWAYS been a game in Boston played on that day and it always has started in the AM.

They play every single year on Patriots day at home and at 11 AM. It has nothing to do with travel or anything else. It has to do with the holiday & marathon.

Red Sox are 10-1 in Matsuzakas last 11 starts vs. Blue Jays.
Blue Jays are 2-7 in Romeros last 9 starts vs. Red Sox.
Dana DeMuth-Red Sox are 12-1 in their last 13 games with DeMuth behind home plate.

I like the Sox for the above reasons bryce. Dice-K is a different cat. He can look awful one minute and great the next. He was used to pitching on 5 days rest in Japan where he did so well and here it is on 4 days rest with a 5 man rotation. Well, with the rainout and day off, he is on 5 days rest for this start. I think the extra day helps him and i think the law of averages will move his era down a bunch after this start and romero's up a little. I think you are getting a great price with Dice-K too based on his last start.
