Sunday NFL.......
Instead of posting my picks against the spread, that have sucked. I am posting the two games that I am playing on the moneyline.....
CHICAGO (+$140) OVER Minnesota
Rex Grossman is named the starting quarterback and the line jumped up on the Vikings. Grossman will be fine. Replacing Kordell, who is the second worse rated passer in the league is a good thing. Don't let Minnesota fool you, the Vikings got the win last week against the Seahawks, but Seattle does not show up to play on the road. Minnesota still has some serious problems, espically on defense. The A-Train should run well against the Vikings and this will take the pressure off of Grossman. On the other side of the ball, I look the the Vikings offense to turn it over a few times allowing the Bears to pull off the upset in a close one.
SAN DIEGO (+$180) OVER Green Bay
I would have prefered to have Flutie starting at quarterback, but I still think the Chargers get the job done with Brees. Green Bay has been a terrible road favorite the past two years, not only against the spread but straight up. The Pack have already lost to Arizona and Detroit on the road this season, so asking the Chargers to get the win here is not out of the question. Farve is still a bit banged up, and the Packers D should have trouble containing Tomlinson. Brees has had a few weeks to step back and watch, so he should do much better now that he is starting again. Also, when Brees was named the starter late in the week the line did not move, which was odd to me. Look for the Chargers to get the win here!
