  • GoldenShifu's Plays for Tuesday

Took the favorites tonight...3-team parlay on:

    - Boston Celtics (-5)
    - Orlando Magic (-7)
    - San Antonio (-3.5)

Boston is upset by the loss on Christmas to Orlando. They led the entire game, then lost the lead in the final two minutes. This is arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference, and they are not going to mess around with the Pacers. They beat the Pacers a few weeks ago by 11 and the line was at (-8.5). Expect the Celtics to come out and execute their gameplan and outclass the Pacers.

Orlando Magic...the new trades seem to be paying dividends as the new additions are being productive and making Orlando an even tougher team to beat. We already know about Dwight Howard and what he does...alot of people were down on Hedo Turkoglu but since his return to Orlando, he has been playing well. Albeit, he did miss a breakaway jam, but he is productive and he has good chemistry with Howard and plays well in that system. I don't see a way the Cavaliers keep this game close? Howard will defend the paint and make the Cavs shoot jumper's and 3's all night. Do you really believe in Daniel Gibson and Mo Williams? Maybe. Varejao, Hickson, and Jamison? Nah....

The Spurs are arguably the best team in basketball. Their record speaks for itself. Whenever I think about the Spurs I think about a tough defensive minded team, that works through Tim Duncan in the post and plays a controlled half-court game. The 2010-2011 Spurs have reinvented themselves and have become a potent offensive team. They are a veteran team but are able to push the tempo and hit the 3-point shot. In their last game against the Wizards as (-13.5 favorites) the Spurs won 94-80. Betting against the Lakers is iffy, but this Laker team is in a slump! They were easily beaten by the Heat on Christmas, I do not see this team beating the Spurs tonight. The Spurs are the better team and will prove it with a win tonight.

I thought the same thing with the NY Giants Sunday. That theory didn't work out to well for me.

Good luck on the plays and welcome to the site

I feel ya. That Giants game on Sunday was brutal! I wonder if they'll show up against Washington or if the Redskins will get the W?

Luckily, the Pacers do not have an athlete as dynamic as Michael Vick. Granger, Collison, and Hibbert are their best players. Even with Rondo out, Allen, Pierce and Garnett are All-Star vets who will lead this team to the victory tonight!

I do wonder why the line is only at (-5)? Maybe the cappers are thinking the Celtics will not show up tonight?

                    Thanks Guys!

The Spurs covered last night and went 3-0 in the NBA.

Will take a look at the games for Wednesday and post my picks after some analysis.

Let's make it another profitable day!

                        Haha...yea I did write that!

I'm still debating if I should go for more, or take what I won last night? Safe play is to stop and take the money, but there are a few games I like today and may put a little something on it. We'll see?

                          GoldenShifu's Plays for Wednesday!

Last night went 3-0 in the NBA. Played a 3-team parlay and hit NICE! Will be going easy the rest of the week, but I will post some picks.

                          - Georgetown (-2), they are forreal this season! Even though they lost Greg Monroe, they still have an atheltic and veteran backcourt in Chris Wright, Jason Clark, and an All-American in Austin Freeman. They also have athletic big guys who play defense, grab rebounds, and can score 1 on 1 down on the block. Against Notre Dame tonight I predict it will be a low scoring game, both teams run disciplined half-court sets but I believe the Hoyas will make a few more plays than the Irish and cover the 2-point spread.

                          - Boston Celtics (-6), I also like the UNDER 186 for this game too. Boston is an elite team in the NBA, the Pistons are not. The Celtics play a tough defensive game and will do what they do....WIN!

                          - Miami (-5), Houston is a good basketball team. They have a decent backcourt with Aaron Brooks and Kevin Martin...Luis Scola is a productive post player for them too. But the Heat are on a roll right now. Last night against the Knicks they did not cover the (-8.5) but I think tonight the Heat are too talented for Houston and will cover the (-5).

After typing this up, I think I'll put in another 3-team parlay for tonight. HOPE IT HITS!

Gtown should have it... ND is a mystery to me, I played Zags big against them and won, Georgia took them to 2 OTs in that tournament with Thompkins only practicing once.

I do not respect ND at all.
