Trying to avoid saying GOY but this is going to be my top bowl play of the year. Posting now because I just played it. Have no idea where the line is going but I have a feeling it may go against me if I waited. Will bump it as we get closer to the game.
LSU -1 over Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl on 1/7/11
I think everyone will agree that playing in the SEC and having games with Auburn, Bama, Arkansas and Mississippi State is somewhat tougher than playing in the Big 12 this year. The reason I like this game so much is Les Miles. The guy does nothing but win. He just finished his 6th season at LSU and has a record of 63-17, which includes a 4-1 record in bowl games. The average score in bowl games has been LSU 35- Opponent 13. His only bowl loss was last year to Penn State 19-17. MIles has a non-conference record of 27-1 at LSU with the Penn State bowl game being his only non-conference loss. Finally it should be noted that Miles has a 15-3 record when having time to prepare for an opponent, which includes opening games, games after a bye and bowl games. Getting him at basically a pick is too good to pass up.
