The play below will be one of only two games with this large a bet all year. I will also have a 4* bowl play. I only bet this much when I think the situation fits perfectly on both sides.
4* Game of the Year Utah State -2 1/2
This is an almost perfect situation.
1) Idaho is whipped after consecutive games against Hawaii, Nevada and Boise, the last two at home and the Boise game their emotional rivalry.
2) Utah State is having its best season in a decade and has a shot for its first three game win streak in ten years! That's a big deal to a program that has been awful so long.
3) It's Utah State's last home game and there's a bye on deck besides.
4) Utah State has a big time offense. They've scored 107 their last three games. They've played several strong teams tough, including a win over BYU.
5) Idaho's defense has been torched for 160 the last three games.
2* Notre Dame -8
I thought about this one as my game of the year. I won with a 2* on ND last week as they whipped Utah. Brian Kelly is a great coach and Notre Dame is really hitting its stride. I expect no letdown as this game is at Yankee Stadium and has huge hype. Army is 6-4 and its option offense is hard to defend but they've played an unbelievably soft schedule and their lack of a passing attack will hurt when they fall behind.
1* Tennessee -8 1/2
Tennessee has really come on strong (102 points the last two weeks) and still can get bowl eligible. Vanderbilt fell apart in the second half last week and has been adrift all year since their coach walked out over the summer. The Vandy defense has given up 142 the last three weeks.
1* Wyoming -2 1/2
These are two bottom of the barrel Mountain West teams but I'll take the home team in its final game of the year against a Colorado State team that was pathetic in its home finale last week and appears to have given up for a coach likely to be fired.
1* Miami-Florida +3 (-120)
Upset here. Miami's defense is outstanding and the offense isn't bad either. Virgionia Tech is playing its second road game in a row after a big win at North Carolina.
