I went 3-1 last Saturday, including an easy 2* win (Louisville).
2* Kansas State +5 1/2
This will be a wild shootout and I'll take the home dog against an Ok State team that lost its first game of the year and was at home. Ok State hadn't played anybody decent before losing to Nebraska and is overrated. K-State continues to improve under Snyder and has scored 101 its last two games. It now meets an awful defense. (This number may drop if Ok State's star wide receiver is suspended after a DUI arrest).
1* Arkansas -20 1/2
Even banged up, I'll take Arkansas over a Vandy team off a tough home loss to South Carolina. Arkansas has scored 81 points the last two games. (This number will go up if Ryan Mallett is cleared to play; bet asap.)
1* Mississippi State -6
Miss State has won four in a row and will be sky high coming off a non-conf game last week and a bye next week. They are much improved in Dan Mullen's second season. Kentucky is off a loss in its third home game in a row. Besides, their coach is a joker.
1* New Mexico State +3 1/2
This is just a bad line. Both teams stink, but San Jose State is worse. New Mex State actually has a decent defense and is at home.
1* Southern Cal +7
USC's annihilation of Cal two weeks ago really impressed me. Kiffin is a great motivator and is selling this game against the #1 team in the country as their "bowl" game (ineligible for a real bowl). Oregon is now a marked team and its defense just isn't good enoguh to run the table in the Pac-10. This could be the loss. Seven is a lot of points here.
Opinions only:
Wyoming/San Diego State UNDER
Washington
UCLA
Eastern Michigan
NFL:
I'm playing these now at these lines. I'llwrite them up Sunday:
2* Cardinals -3
1* Bengals -1
1* Raiders -2
