Listen, with the "Naked Eye", Okie St looks great laying only -2.5/-3 @ Home. I get it but after looking deeper at this game, i think it is a mirage here.
Forget the competition in the 1st 3 games for each team because the numbers are inflated by facing a lack of talent on the other side. Brandon Weeden has been banged up with a thumb injury and he will be facing something he has yet to see this year in a mad pass rusher named Von Miller of A&M. The Cowboys lost a ton of talent from last season on both sides of the ball and they only return 4 on offense and 4 on defense. A&M on the other hand returns 8 on offense and 9 on defense and they have seen this Okie St attack before.
Most are talking about QB Weeden for Okie St but A&M QB Jerrod Johnson was the preseason Conference Player of the Year going in to the season and he will be a load to handle for the Okie St defense tonight. They have the QB, WR's and RB's to match points with the Cowboys all night long and they have the better defense as well in this game.
Teams in their first Road game of the season after 3 Home Wins are (50-28) Ats in game four, and teams playing in their 4th straight Home game to start the season are (11-21) Ats versus a undefeated opponent in the last 32 chances. Texas A&M is also (10-4) SU vs Okie St in their last 14 meetings and that includes (5-2) SU @ Okie St. Okie St HC Mike Gundy is also (2-11) SU & (4-9) Ats versus a opponent coming off 3 straight wins.
The final nail in the coffin for me is seeing 73% of the public just pounding Okie St and the line has dropped from -3.5 to -2.5/-3? Huh?? If it looks like a skunk and smells like a skunk ..... it is usually a skunk. People are pounding one team and the line goes the other way? The public may build a new casino in Vegas after this one tonight and i'm hoping not to donate to that! Texas A&M 37 Oklahoma St 31
GOOD LUCK!
