I went 1-2 last week in CFB but the winner was my lone 2* play of the weekend (North Carolina).
2* North Carolina -13
I'm coming right back on Carolina which has a huge talent edge over East Carolina, a team that is playing terrible defense. NC is still missing 12 players because of eligibility issues but that's keeping this line reasonable. East Carolina gives up points to everybody and besides, the supposedly depleted NC team scored 24 in week two against LSU. If the suspensions are lifted, the line may move five points.
1* Michigan -10
Even if super QB Denard Robinson doesn't play, I like this pick. Rodriguez finally has players for his running offense and they are putting up staggering numbers. They scored at will last week against Bowling Green even after Riobinson went out. Besides, Tate Forcier is an ex-starter. Indiana has played only patsies so far.
1* Florida State -7
Florida State's defense is much improved this year now that the old fossil, former DC Mickey Andrews, has been put out to pasture. They shut out wake forest's high powered offense last week. Virginia's offense is meek. If Wake couldn't score what will Virginia do? The talent edge here is overwhelming.
1* Hawaii -8
Hawaii's offense is starting to resemble the old June Jones days. Lots of speed and constant substituting. It'll wear down Louisiana Tech, a team that had a very hard game last week and will wilt in the second half on the island.
Opinions only:
UConn
Iowa
Eastern Michigan
NFL:
I'm playing these now to grab the lines (which I think will move as the week goes on). I'll write them up later.
2* Rams +1
