I did this last week when the lines came out jumping on Stanford at -3 so I thought I would try to handicap a game I liked and play it when the lines came out which I just did.
Army +4 over temple. If the line goes up I will add to it. Both teams are playing good ball but a number of factors convinced me that Army is the play. Army leads the nation in time of possession while temple is # 88. I think this will be a factor in that temple's defense has been on the field a lot so far this year. temple has now played 4 straight physically and mentally taxing games.they beat Villinova in th last few seconds of their opening game. Next they beat Central Michigan in overtime in week 2. In week 3 they beat a tough UCON team in the final quarter and yesterday they played PSU very tough and even led for 37 minutes before losing when PSU's defense stepped up in the second half. I think this is a perfect letdown game for temple.
they have conference games coming up the week after Army. Last year Army was tied with temple at temple after 3 quarters and actually outrushed and outgained them but lost.
temple doesn't normally play on the road after playing Penn State. temple lost the last 5 games when going on the road after PS.
Finally I think Notre Dame showed you yesterday what playing several tough, down to the wire games in a row does to you. It catches up like it did yesterday when Stanford bitch slapped them all over the place.
