Making no statements like GOY but throwing it out for what it's worth. Do with it as you please. Florida Atlantic is -10 versus North Texas. When the lines came out yesterday they were -6. The reason the line has gone up is North Texas has been hit with some major injury issues. North Texas is 0-3 having got shut out by Army Saturday 24-0. This week they are on the road at Florida Atlantic who has beaten them 6 straight years and who played Michigan State tough 2 weeks ago before losing 30-17. Here is the story with North Texas. They lost their starting QB Nathan Tune earlier in the year. On Saturday they lost their 2nd string QB for the remainder of the year and their starting center. They are now down to playing a wide receiver Riley Dodge. Dodge was a reshirt freshman QB last year but was moved to wide receiver because of injury issues, specifically concussion issues so who knows how long he will last. I really don't get this line. If you look at Sagarin's ratings Florida Atlantic should be 17-20 point favorites. I played Florida At. when the line was 7' and I also threw them in on a couple teasers.

Thanks for the interesting post. I'm not trying to contradict you at all, just thought I'd add this to the discussion......
Riley Dodge is an intriguing player, because he is not just a redshirt QB turned wideout turned QB again, he is also the head coach's son. Dodge, the coach, was a high school football legend, where he went something like 77-1 in his final run as head coach, including winning a championship with his son, Riley Dodge at quarterback in his final season.
Again, not contradicting, as what works in high school may not translate to D1 at all, but there will be a lot of folks in N.Texas excited to see what they can do in this game.
Good luck.

Please don't take offense. I appreciate your contributions here. I had seen another blurb about this game mentioning that N. Texas would have to go their "third string QB," and I just thought it was relevant to remember this is not a typical third stringer. For one, he knows his dad's offense better than anybody else. Second, there is more excitement around him as a player than you would find for a 3rd stringer maybe anywhere else in the country.
You are absolutely right about the Dodges, about FAU's strong showing against Michigan State, and about N. Texas looking like a bit of a mess, and I by no means thought I'd uncovered a great secret in Riley Dodge. I just thought it was relevant to a discussion of the game.
I think you are probably on the right side of this, and good luck.
