Had a monster day in college for a change yesterday. On to the NFL, with my plays and my 2 cents:
207 Chiefs +3.............2*
The Browns are a bad team and I think that the Chiefs are solid because of all of their speed. They have playmakers on both sides of the ball. The Browns are most likely starting Seneca today and with no playmakers, that is bad news.
210 Packers -13...........3*
The Pack struggled a bit last week in Philly so I look for a more focused effort from them today. Rodgers is too good and will have a monster game today.
211 Ravens -3.............2*
I think that Cincy is in for a long year and the Ravens are the class of this division. Coming off a hard fought win against the Jets, the Ravens offense gets going. Look for the D to contain Palmer and the Boys.
214 Titans -5'..............2*
Two straight home games for the Titans. The Steelers will see the effect of being without Big Ben this week.
216 Lions +6'................2*
Both teams are without their starting QBs. I think the Eagles win but struggle to cover. They are missing their starting QB (Kolb), their starting MLB (Bradley) and perhaps the biggest loss Jamal Jackson (starting C).
218 Cowgirls -7.............4*
The Bears got lucky to win last week and the Boys come off a tough division loss. I think the D forces Cutler into a few mistakes today and Romo takes advantage.
220 Panthers -3.............4*
The Bucs are not that good and now go on the road. I look for a big day from Williams and Stewart, which will show dividends in the 2nd half.
222 Falcons -6'...............4*
The Cards were sloppy last week as they fumbled 7 times and only had a 53 yard edge against the Rams. I will take Ryan and Turner coming home to score a ton of points.
224 Vikings -5'................2*
Can they be any worse on offense? They were bad and still had a chance to win against the Super Bowl Champs. I look for a big effort in the home opener.
226 Raiders -3................3*
I will take the home team. The Raiders were in a tough spot last week and I look for them to get on track today. One interesting stat against me...The Raiders are 0-10 ATS as a HF since 2005.
227 Seahawks +3'.............2*
I will side with Pete Carroll's energy on this one.
229 Texans +3..................5*
Once again, the Texans are getting no love. There is some line value with the Skins beating the Cowboys last week. However, that is a bitter rivalry and tghe Skins O did nothing. Although this is a tough spot (big W last week and Dallas next week), I think they are the more talented team by far.
231 Jags +7.....................2*
The Chargers could be in some trouble and the Jags present a balanced attack on O. Not only are the Chargers missing Jackson, they are also missing McNeil and LT and it may take some time for them.
233 Pats -3...............3*
Too much drama for the Jets. The Pats mean business and they will take care of the missing offense New York Jets.
236 Colts -5................2*
Super Bowl losers in week #2 are 24-1-1 SU.
Whether you fade or follow, I hope that you enjoyed the commentary. Good luck today.
