Large play on UNDER 7.5 in LA/SF tonight.
Matt Cain is 0-7 career against the LAD, but he sports only a 4 ERA against them. This tells you one thing... the Giants consistently fail to score against their rivals.
Ely has had some rough outings, including a couple on the road, but the Giants have never seen him, and they are not the type of club to flourish in this situation.
I see another low-scoring, frustrating game, with shadows on the field to start the game, and frankly better pitching than hitting in the best pitchers' park in MLB.
Cain has been a monster at AT&T, and I suspect he will once again be sharp, but find no run support for his efforts.
Frank truth is that the "best" hitter for each of these teams headed into the season: Kemp for LA, Sandoval for SF, are in tremendous slumps, and these are both teams looking for a way offensively, and this is a bad spot for both teams with the bat.
