Maybe I have my head stuck in the sand but here is what I like tonight.
Cornell + 8 I am not sold on UK whatsoever. They are young but in the same breath gifted and talented. They are not invincible and they are playing away from Rupp. They have everything to lose IN THIS GAME. They have the pressure on them. I am not saying Cornell wins the game but I can not see UK blowing this team out. Cornell beat two good opponents in which I think Temple was the better of the two. UK beat two teams that were questionable in making the tourney. One a sixteen seed(automatic bid) and Wake Forest who IMO was just not that good. I don't blame UK here for them beating two cupcakes but I am not ready to crown them just yet.
Washington +4.5 Solely a move because Bryant is out. I wonder what the psyche of WVU really is. Will WVU step up. Although Bryant isn't there best player I believe he is /was an important cog to a terrific team of WVU. Washington knocked off a 6 seed and a 3 seed why not a two seed. They have enough talent and experience to do so. ***disclaimer*** if Bryant was going to play I would of been on WVU--Greek will be on WVU!!!
Syracuse -6 Nothing much to say here. If they continue to play the defense they played last week they should be in good shape. I also think they have enough athletes and athleticism to break down Butler's tough defense.
Xavier +5 toughest pick of all for me today. KState handled them back in December. Both teams have improved IMO since that date. I think this one will be a battle but will gladly take the points here.
