Derrick Stafford has called 5 or 6 heat games this year and they've covered all of them. Tonight the are -6.5 over the lowly Nets. I think the Nets win this game outright tonight. I read in an article that he hates Pat Riley, but they have covered every one of the games Derrick has called. Five have been at home and one on the road at the Celtics. This is a great spot for the Nets tonight. I mean, they can't cover every game he calls can they?

On another note, I have been using a couple of key stats to help me with my NCAA tourney capping; and two stats have stood out to me- RBD Margin and Off 3pt%. Teams that are good in both have been unreal ATS. Stats that haven't fared well are DEF FG%, DEF 3pt% and teams with a crappy RBD margin-plus teams with low TO totals haven't fared well. Could it be possible this is just a coincidence?? 5 or 6 games seems like an awfully small sample size to draw any kind of conclusion from. Plus, counting on the Nets to put the ball in the hole, even from the stripe, is hardly a given....Just throwin' that out there....

I hear ya reporter. I know that I've read an article that said Stafford hates Riley and that whenever he called a game the heat were playing in that it would be a sure fire bet against situation on the heat. This year every game has gone the heats way, so maybe I'm on the wrong side and he's making up for a lot of bad calls against the heat in the past. 6 games is a small sample size, but it's the only 6 he's called this year, so that's all I have to go on. Great points reporter; I appreciate your input. I like them plus the points, but I have more units on a 8 pt teaser.
