Buying points lesson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems that a lot of you out there are wagering without the ability to buy points.........i wager with multiple books to shop for the best line, however, in todays day and age, you NEED to be wagering with a site (errrrr local guy) that will allow you to buy points.........most of the reputable sites on the net will allow you to buy points even off and on 3 and 7.............yesterday, i got to baltimore late and the line was 3 but i bought it down to 2.5

this is not something i would advise doing in the college game, but it is very very important in the pro game where many games are settled by 3 and 7 point margins, and i guarantee you that the extra 10% will payoff within the first few games you wager and buy a point.........

also, sometimes an ok bet in basketabll to buy at 2 or 3 although nothing like the nfl value..........

I agree, I buy the half points a lot. They have saved me from losing many time. I think its smart to give the extra 10% to put the line more in your favor. Like on a 3 1/2, 7 1/2, 10 1/2 and so on.

what books that you use let you buy on or off of 3 and for -120, i had balt -2.5 at -120 but wasn't because i bought it

miser, i am not sure if i am allowed to advertise for books on this site, but i will give you a hint, at the top of the page at this site, where all the threads are, there is a banner for a sportsbook with numbers on it, maybe it means you can bet any day of the year?? that one allows you to buy off any number

i'll have to check into that, in the past books use to never let u buy on or off of three and if they did it'd cost like -130, but with the books now fighting for post up money i guess a few of them might let u buy on or off for -120, seems this year fewer games have landed on three when that was the spread than i past years so books should be cleaning up on it but in past years books that do that would have gotten killed for allowing it at -120

in the past few weeks i seem to lost alot of games on that damn half point... of course i dont learn though lost 2 foots this weekend on the half point... BTW MVP lets you buy halfs.. 1 .5 is usually -120.. you can buy upto like 4 points at like -170 i think..

Most books have gotten with the program and let you buy onto 3. But they don't let you buy OFF of 3 (to +3.5, for example). I have a local that lets me for the same price as all points, -120. Pinnacle lets you buy off of 3, but the price is wayyyy too much.
