THURSDAY'S FREE PICK: Arizona at Oregon
(10:00 ET). Talk about a CLASSIC conference-
opener!! 7-1 Arizona (only loss a one-pointer at
LSU) visits Eugene, to take on the 9-1 Oregon
Ducks (losers to only Cincinnati). Arizona just
may be the nation's BEST TEAM, with ALL
five of its starters returining from last year's
24-10 team. Oregon, 26-9 last year, lost
its best player from last year, Frederick Jones,
but returns the "two-Lukes", Jackson and
Ridnour! Last year, Oregon won at home on
McArthur Court, 105-75 and down in Tucson
at the McKale Center, 90-80, so this is
double-revenge for the Wildcats! They have
the talent, depth and defense to accomplish
the task and I'll go with Lute Olson's FIVE,
over a very-good Oregon team!
