I read up a lot on all of these games. The Swiss have had quite a bit more time practicing together than the US. I saw where the US have only had one practice together and the Swiss are very familiar with each other. The Swiss also have a solid NHL Goalie that "Should" keep them in it. Chemistry could be a problem early on for the US and everything i have read says this is a very tough and dangerous matchup for the US. Before doing any reading, i was going to play the US but now, i'll take a shot with the Swiss and see what happens.

Canada should win easily but i can't lay 6 goals. I think they score between 7-9 so i'll play the over instead.

Russia is stacked. Many of their big names are former NHL Stars that play in the Russian League now and they are very solid in goal. They should crush Latvia today and have that goal margin covered at the end of 2 periods.


Tomorrow we will see a loaded Czech team too. Remember the name Jaromir Jagr or Josef Vasicek? Most hockey fans do. They play overseas now but they will lead a VERY good Czech team tomorrow.

Sweden & Finland are also VERY good teams to watch in this tourney but they do not play today either.

I take that back. US has a 3-0 lead after 1 1/2 periods and they never score again. The Swiss get a goal in the 3rd and cover the +2.5, losing 3-1
