Did you replace your furnace with a heat pump? I just bought a house a couple months ago and I have to replace the HVAC system soon. I was interested in your thoughts of your experience

I know shit about stuff like that! I gave them the money and said fix it! I have been using these guys for several years and told them to give me what I need, I would not do that unless I trusted them. They know I don't know dick! Sorry!

Sir, depending on where you live you can rule out a heat pump right away......something like if the low temp in the winter will fall below 50 degrees you cant use heat pumps............have to use forced hot air....

Not to jack this thread, but this isn't entirely true. Most just have an emergency source (electric furnace) that can run as a secondary source. We have temps below freezing and have a heat pump and my electric heater hasn't turned on once this year. You need to ensure that you get a heat pump that is right for your house. The layout, the size, etc. I have a 14 seer Trane that has been excellent.

This is correct, Porkie, I live in MD and have a heat pump. Been no problem and like Sarge says if it gets too cold the electric back up kicks in.
