WEC 46...Pain and UFN...Pain

I like the WEC but I hate what they do with Faber. He loses the title they let him fight an easy fight with Pulver then give him an immediate rematch with Brown. Then loses to Brown again and misses time with broken hand then wins 1 fight and he gets a title shot again already. On the other hand Mike Brown beats Faber twice defends another time, loses the title gets given a guy very low level fighter but is not even in the talks for a rematch with Aldo. I hope Aldo beats Faber. Im just not a fan of the WEC shoves him down our throat. Im sure the title shot will probably be in Sacremento also. They gotta give him every advantage possible. Faber should have to fight someone like Grispi to earn a title shot.

Not only a good night of picks but another GREAT night of fights put on by the WEC, i realize that the VS channel is not on the direct tv right now in a lot of areas, so a lot of guys can't watch.

It's a real shame too because chung agrees with me and i think mark also, WEC just puts on better fights than the ufc, and for free (if you have cable i guess) All you guys with direct get on them to carry VS because starting in march i believe the ufc will also air fights on the VS channel, again for free also.

That is if you want to watch MMA.

I really do hope everyone did well on the board with the football picks today.....i stuck to the fights for today.....AND tommorrow we have more !

I do like WEC but I still like the UFC best. You have to remember it is easier to put on better fights when you only put on 6 six shows a year. Where the UFC is putting on over 20.

Brown defended the title against leonard garcia, who is regarded as average at best right now. Who has leonard garcia beaten ?

Brown wanted that fight last night trust me, he didn't care who it was, he wanted to fight, don't blame the WEC for having to go get an opponent on a couple weeks rest, Mike pushed for that fight. (he had a cut a few days before the aldo fight mark, wasn't a bad one but a dangerous one, and he has said a couple times, his head wasn't right in that fight) he wanted a fight asap. Don't you realize, that fight last night was so he can fight the winner of Aldo/faber ?

I don't hope, but do think aldo will beat him. They are my 2 favorite at 145. Then brown will have a rematch with aldo, even if faber wins i would love to see him fight mike without 2 broken hands. Point is , is mike is gettin a shot at the belt next fight mark.

Assuncao 14-1 now 14-2 was the 5th ranked 145 lb in the world, faber beat him, so the only 2 opponents they could give faber would be brown, or aldo, anyone less would be taking a step down from a comeback fight against the 5th ranked 145 lb in the world, and you know as well as i do that Rafael is the best assuncao brother of the three, he hits hard, and is a legit BJJ black belt that faber submitted ! (a little credit mark ?)

I agree with you on the sacramento part though, that is a little too much to have home field advantage almost all the time, i also agree with you about grispi, the problem there is he is hurt on the shelf for a while. That would be the only 1 i would say is a real challenge to the top of that division is grispi, we both like him. He will heal up and get his chance.

i guess my point is they are better events for free, UFC doesn't have to put on 20 a year, they choose to. They also don't have to charge 50 for each ppv.....They choose to unfortunately for us.

Dont get me wrong i do love the WEC. I do agree that Faber is legit also. I just think they try to give Faber every shot in the world. I bet if he loses to Aldo he will probably have to fight Gamburyan or someone then get another shot. I know Faber is your boy but it shoud take more then 1 fight to earn a title shot.

+ 1 unit on the night . Always good to see free fights but again WEC gets the nod from me last night, much better quality of fights IMO. I think that's +14.2 units for the thread.
