Do you know him sarge ? seems like a great guy, I have been on his other 3 fights so i'm on this 1 too, guy looks better and better everytime. I worry about his age a little , but considering his attitude towards the sport, his work ethic should carry him for a few more years at least. One of the most athletic guys i have ever seen at that age IMO, and more importantly good for the sport.

His dad used to be my wrestling coach here in Nebraska before they moved to Arizona and I remember Aaron when he was little, and I've been following him since his high school wrestling (146-1), but I can't say I know him anymore. I guarantee his drive and self-discipline are better than most. His dad was one of the best coaches I've ever seen.

hope someone got on these except mark and chung ?

Not only a good night of picks but another GREAT night of fights put on by the WEC, i realize that the VS channel is not on the direct tv right now in a lot of areas, so a lot of guys can't watch.

It's a real shame too because chung agrees with me and i think mark also, WEC just puts on better fights than the ufc, and for free (if you have cable i guess) All you guys with direct get on them to carry VS because starting in march i believe the ufc will also air fights on the VS channel, again for free also.

That is if you want to watch MMA.

I really do hope everyone did well on the board with the football picks today.....i stuck to the fights for today.....AND tommorrow we have more !

that is cool sarge, so you know your way around the mats yourself, that's always nice to hear. Yea Aaron is one of those classic excellent conditioned wrestlers. That record is awesome too.

                        5* Faber -400 = WINNER

                        3* Taurosevicius +120 = WINNER

                        2* Shalorus +165 = WINNER

2* Tamura -120 = LOSER (5 of 7 live bloggers @mania gave it to tamura, but wec judges didn't)

                        5* Parlay Fabiano/Faber -200 = WINNER
                        1* Parlay Varner/Faber -110 = LOSER

                        4-2 + 13.2 units

Just a side note* I'm glad varner lost, everyone already didn't like him, and he proved to anyone that doubted he is as big a POS as everyone says he is, ABSOLUTELY NO CLASS OR RESPECT, and it's one thing not to respect your opponent, he has now taken it to the level of not respecting the sport.

IN MMA every legit champ NO MATTER HOW LETHAL their skill set respects the sport, and the many aspects of it. Quote from varner after the loss....." I came to fight" "I came to box, he came to grapple" Someone might want to tell this fool that grappling is a much bigger aspect of MMA than boxing, you want to box go fight 12 rounds in a ring, or better yet Train Muay Thai boxing which is much more effective, and damaging.

he even goes on to say how he was winning...uhhh until he lost. He flat out lost, and won't give any credit to the guy who just beat him ? Yea he belongs in "boxing" then IMO.

sorry for the write up, that just really bothered me guys. let's get ready for tommorrow, well, tonight actually.

He was even talking shit about the WEC trying to push Faber when he should have been the main card. I agree, no class and not good for the sport.

the sad thing is I was one of those guys that kept giving him a chance, thinking he's young, and he will start to understand, he's actually gotten worse sarge. there has been a lot going on with him and the WEC behind the scenes...long story short, like you said no class not good for the sport at all.

he tapped early sarge, henderson only had the choke in for about 3 or 4 seconds. the bad thing to me was he tapped like he didn't care, like just get it over with.

The only reason people even knew what WEC was 2 or 3 years ago is because of a man named FABER, he is the poster boy, if you don't like it Varner...TOO BAD !
