hey todaclub i just saw something on a news station the other night about how north dakota is actually the state with most available jobs. I can see that with the weather conditions but the #'s they released were kind of shocking almost as if you could get in your car and drive to north dakota you will get a job.

they even interviewed a guy that basically said "yea we need people" He was the director of a state office too. I can't hack -37, no way, i don't know how you do it, but do it safe !

The state of ND has 2 oil fields out in the western part of the state that are bigger than the ANWR in Alaska, just very deep. ND had a 250 million surplus last year from tax dollars on oil wells. If someone wants to do oil rigger work, in some cold temps,yea there's work here, pay is very good, cost of living is very low(except for heat). Im eastern part of the state, and our economy is very good from farming and Canadian traffic that comes down for shopping. Our malls in GF have a 50/50 Manitoba plates on weekends. Our banks never stepped out and gave dumb loans, low foreclosures yadda yadda...times are very different here from the rest of the USA. But with our weather, well we don't have alot of people knocking down our borders to get in!

I don't say this to be mean i swear i just wanted to tell you i live in fla. The reason i want to tell you is all the crap you mentioned your state didn't do to get in trouble, ohhh this state did that and even more ! horrible stuff down here.

I was in Tampa a couple weeks ago, locals were saying they just started with the foreclosures, could go as high as 1 in 5.. Very hard to believe. I have a friends who live in FL. AZ. and such during the winter, bought places on Golf courses, now the courses have gone bankrupt, which kills the value of the house, just a domino effect, crazy. I stayed at a place on treasure Island (Tampa) that a friend bought cheap. So I guess there are opportunities that this stuff creates too. I'm just so far removed from it, it's hard to imagine. And for the record, huge Boise fan(even before they beat OU) Fan of the underdog. Congrats.

PS. 1 thing about temps, you can put on more clothes when its cold, you can only take so many off when its hot. (That's how we justify it )

I'm personally in palm beach county very close to a VERY well known golf course, wink wink, can you guess which 1. yea that 1, my father actually lives there as well, not right on the course though, (he's never golfed a day in his life, but he lives there) it's like you say fla has hot spots you could get a great deal or you could get jerked, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a middle down here.

You make a good point about the temps, i train MMA i cannot imagine rolling around brazilian jiu jitsu class with all kinds of layers and jackets on, can you even run at -37, seriously do your legs let you ? I did grow up up north and played a little hockey as chado knows, but not -37, more like 37. LOL
