MONDAY'S FREE PICK: San Francisco 49ers at
St Louis Rams (9:00 ET). Why would the 49ers
EVEN CARE, about this game? San Francisco
is set to host the NY Giants next Sunday in a
wild-card game and Steve Mariucci has been
VERY VOCAL, about his team having to play in
the last Monday Night game of the season. No
Owens in this one and do not look for Garcia or
the rest of the starters, to play much. For the
Rams, this is the final game of what has been
a VERY DISAPPOINTING season. An 0-5
start, injuries to Warner and Faulk and after two
Super Bowl appearances in the last three years,
a 6-9 record, heading into Week 17! Not sure
just who will play for EITHER SIDE (or for how
long, either?), but have to believe the Rams are
the MORE INTERESTED team. Take St Louis!
